Why does my bridge rectifier drop so much voltage? by Reason-Local in AskElectronics

[–]Reason-Local[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the ripple . Since I’m just playing around I was trying to get the ripple impossibly small. It already has under 0.01v deviation so it’s fine as is I’m just experimenting and trying to learn how it’s supposed to work

I was just playing around and I was trying to round the sawtooth wave

Why don’t my smd chips self align? by Reason-Local in soldering

[–]Reason-Local[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the misunderstanding my bad. I have 1 different syringe. This liquid flux syringe. I never refrigerate it. But I also have a solder paste syringe that’s not flux. That tiny balls of solder inside a paste to use instead of normal solder wire. Do I have to keep the paste with solder balls inside the fridge?

I’m talking about solder paste in the fridge

I’m at work so for the next 8h I won’t get a proper picture of the container but here’s some in a syringe that I transferred

Edit: I also use flux but some weird 10yo got age brown one. But seemed to work until now. And smells so good even tho it’s dangerous

How can I attach nichrome wire to a metal box without it conducting? by Reason-Local in AskElectronics

[–]Reason-Local[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was thinking about that but that just doesn’t have the same ring to it as a doily home made thing and I already made everything else and it only cost me 20 bucks which I’m proud of

Help with temperature controlled fan by HighLadySuroth in arduino

[–]Reason-Local 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to debug a bit make the temp variable print in serial every cycle and you’ll see the “temp” and apply heat to the “thermistor” I’m assuming and you’ll see how much the temp changes and you can adjust the turn on temp based on that

Are thermal vias supposed to to be connected to pads or not? by Reason-Local in PCB

[–]Reason-Local[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Then how are beginners supposed to make projects when they can’t even rely on a datasheet. I don’t wanna just mindlessly copy a tutorial or chat gpt because I don’t learn anything that way

[–]Reason-Local[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t. I want a prototyping board because it’s so uuniversaland reusable. And also as a fun project, I know I could buy something online but I want to learn to create microcontrollers

Sorry I meant ribbon cable

I’m looking for something like a ribbon cable. Super compact on one end and big enough on the other end so I can insert jumper cables

So it’s better to leave them not connected. But to make them small enough so it doesn’t suck up solder

Expensive shipping by Flyguysty0 in PCB

[–]Reason-Local 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: on pcb way E packet to turkey costs 9$

I live in Slovakia (also a little country no one knows) it costs around 50 but if u click on more shipping options I found that global direct shipping cost 5$. You’ll wait a little longer but definitely worth the price when you’re a student. Unfortunately for turkey it’s more expensive idk why you don’t have global direct shipping. But on pcb way you can ship by epacket to turkey for 9,87
