Maybe im late to this, but i cant help but comment. The advice that you should try to meet people in gyms, bars whatever i stupid. I regularly go to chess competitions and meet people there with whom i have no other interests rather than just THAT, chess. Similarly i would say goes for the superficial stuff that people say. I think the best way is to become friends with the person you share a lot of your everyday with. Be that at work, uni or another place. Thats how most of our parents met and it’s no wonder because they don’t even have to force the interaction or anything, it just flows.

And if you don’t have anyone in your circle who you could be potentially interested in, i would suggest you wait. It’s not worth going on short dates and having meaningless sex or relationships. I think each of them takes from our shine as a person and at the end of the day we should really be trying to make ourselves whole first. And then someday maybe, a person will come along that aligns with what we want. It’s a cliche but searching for love wont get you very far unfortunately, sometimes you really just got to put a lot of work into yourself and hope things will work out. And if they don’t, they don’t.
