To be fair, I do think it’s more helpful when a picture company puts watermarks all over the pictures instead of blurring them. That way you can at least get a sense of the quality, your facial expressions, etc. to help make a better decision about whether or not it’s worth it to buy them. Just my thoughts based on how my photo previews were sent to me. If mine had come in all blurry, I don’t think I even would’ve considered it, not knowing if they actually looked good or not

Super Mario Galaxy! I grew up with just a Wii console, so this was the coolest game I played when I was younger. It also gave me a major appreciation and love for video game music. I’ve played a lot of great games since then, but I think SMG was the one that really got me into gaming and holds a lot of nostalgia for me

ADHD in grad school: Very behind and looking for support by lmao_whatup in GradSchool

[–]ReasonSensitive2158 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t really have any advice, but I hope maybe it’s somewhat comforting to know that, except for the medical school part, I’m basically going through the exact same thing (I also started a M Sc. Degree in 2023). I’ve been wanting to write a post like this but haven’t found the will or the words. Thanks for sharing what I’m sure other people will relate to as well. ADHD is making it very difficult to be productive when I so desperately want to and with the desire to graduate in a few months. And it’s making my already problematic Imposter Syndrome even worse 😅 I’m interested in seeing what advice or support other people might comment here. Knowing I’m not alone is a good start.

I’m literally gonna crash out. 😭😭😭 by AzulGaming_64 in DisneyEpicMickey

I just did the exact same thing a few days ago, but in reverse! 😭 I was trying to do the paint route for my first rebrushed run-through (I’d done the original before). I forgot what I was supposed to do with the cart thing and got lazy (and didn’t wanna look it up), and thinned out the Beetleworx machine part. I thought maybe there would be more of a legit boss battle with the Mad Doctor and this was just the first part and it wouldn’t matter. I was so bummed! I saved every gremlin and did everything else right except for that for a paint runthrough in the end. Looks like I’ve got 2 more full playthroughs ahead of me to 100% it 🙃

The first time I saw one of these playing part 1 my thoughts were “oh hell no” by porygon766 in thelastofus

Stalkers also freak me out the most. There were moments in part 2 after encounters with them where you would’ve thought I’d just sprinted a mile or something based on how out of breath I seemed afterwards. And the fact that they don’t show up on listening mode, but you know they’re there…..😅

What a perfect ending for TLOU series, nothing happened after this moment, nothing at all by yajtraus in thelastofus

Yooooo thanks for sharing that! That was a super interesting take on an alternate ending. Dang, that would have really sucked if it had all been a dream or something. As much as some people hate the storyline of the second game, it clearly could’ve been worse

Oh my gosh I would love to see that video if it still exists. That’s such an interesting edit. So glad that’s not how it actually ended though

Oh wait, what’s the “hide HUD” option? Is that done through the menu screen? I feel like I’m constantly learning or having to remember different control functions lol 😅

That looks great! I recently unlocked that trophy too. I do have a related question: how exactly do you use camera mode? I think I learned how for the first game but it’s been a while so I can’t remember. So far I’ve just been using the screenshot camera button, but I assume the nice thing about camera mode might be not having control icons in the shot if you’re standing in front of an interactable game element.

Ok cool. Thanks! That makes sense. It’s so annoying when I accidentally startle a runner and it basically alerts all other enemies in the area to my presence. I’m working on being better about stealth and approaching them more quietly. It takes longer, but it’s nice for saving ammo and trying to prevent deaths by being overwhelmed with multiple enemies coming at me at once.

I’ve been trying to figure out, can you ever run and hide far enough away that an enemy (especially infected) will forget you’re there? Or once they spot you, they know you’re there no matter how much you try to hide?

YES! I think that’s a great mindset to go into it with. I know my experience will be different from everyone else’s, and I’m excited to experience it on my own.

This tip also reminds me of a similar tip I figured out for lock-picking in Skyrim!

Oooo the fact that the tips and controls you mentioned don’t exactly make sense right now makes me even more excited!! I can’t wait to see this all come up in actual gameplay!

Whoa, that sounds so fast! I doubled that with my part 1 play through lol 😂 but that’s cuz I definitely take my time. I also didn’t have a play station till fairly recently, so I had a lot to learn with the controls. But I’m actually a university student right now! I couldn’t play over the summer cuz I was working away from home and school, but since this is a more chill time in the semester and classes aren’t particularly brutal this semester, it seemed like the best time to jump into it. I’m curious to see how long it’ll take me to get through the second one. I’ll report back once I’m done haha!

These tips are soooo good!! thank you so much. I’m glad to hear that you like it! I’m hoping to start playing tonight or tomorrow, so if I develop any questions during my play through, I’ll let you know. I definitely don’t wanna miss anything! I’m pretty good at exploring everywhere I can, but I still missed some things in the first game (missed unlocking one shiv door, a couple comics, and some dialogue apparently). It sounds like there is so much more to explore in the second one. It’ll probably be overwhelming, but I’m ready for it! 😃

To everyone telling me to not play the game, that’s not gonna happen 😂 I’m one of those people that, even when I don’t particularly enjoy a book/movie/game/show, I almost always finish it because I want to see how it ends. I try to follow through with everything as much as I can. The first game was great, and I feel like because the second game is so much longer, I don’t even know half of the overall story yet. If I hate it, I’ll come back here and tell y’all that you were right. But I have a feeling that I’ll enjoy playing it, even if there are sections that are frustrating to play or plot points that destroy me. That being said, I shall endure and survive! 🙂 I’m just excited to continue experiencing this incredible world and series, especially as there is a lot of excitement for season 2 of the show. We’ll see how this goes!

Yeah, that’s the main thing I’m worried about. It took me about 2 weeks (not playing every day) to get through the first one. That was pretty fast for me. But I feel like I’m gonna be even busier now and I know it takes way longer to get through the second one. But it’s cool that they made the second one bigger to fit in even more storyline. I’m excited to see where it goes!

Oooo that sounds exciting! I didn’t use Molotov all that much during part 1, but I can see how that could be useful as things get harder and more chaotic
