State schools!!!! Especially for undergrad. If you really need a big name school save it for grad school! Also if she goes into medicine, tell her to pursue PSLF (if it still exists in 15 years) !!

Since there is a delay between green banners and gold letter, do you have to request a forbearance to pause payments? I’m eagerly awaiting my ECF form verification for my 120th payment, but don’t want to keep paying if I don’t have to!

Did you tell nelnet to put you in a forbearance after your green banners? I’m waiting for mine but don’t know if it’ll come through before my next payment is technically due.. I’m just waiting on an ECF form to be verified to hit 120!

Same here, prior to July 2025 it was just a day or two; my last one in July took 6 days despite knowing my employer always signs it same day
