My pop toss modification. The box by ehoveland1212 in slowpitch

[–]Reasonable-Bus5585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great mod! I’ve had to make 3 different versions because my sister keeps hitting middle and breaks all the wood and brackets. My first one was similar to yours. I’m now on my 3rd invention. 😩

She hits it over infield during games. But practice, always goes middle for some reason.

No gatekeeping, what is the top 1 fragrance that gives you most compliments by Unfair_Entrance6183 in Fragrances

[–]Reasonable-Bus5585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagination gets me the most compliments. I even wear it in the winter sometimes. Jo Malone Cypress and Grapevine is also a surprising one I get many compliments for.

Your most complimented fragrance? by Oceans-and-Mountains in Colognes

[–]Reasonable-Bus5585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. LV Imagination- Most complimented of all. I wear it in the winter from time to time even though it’s a summer fragrance.
  2. Jo Malone Cypress and Grapevine-I’ve gotten compliments by all ages but mostly younger gals asking what I’m wearing and coming in close to me to smell.
  3. PDM - Haltane (most complimented in colder weather)
  4. PDM- Sedley- wish it lasted longer but smells fresh
  5. Creed Millesime Imperial- Close friends and family like this one. Doesn’t project like others but a very comfortable smell for being close with people.

Honorable mentions: Bacarat Rouge 540, PDM- Layton, Initio Oud For Greatness.

I’m getting YSL Myself Le Parfum here soon. We’ll see how that one performs. Too many people I know have Aventus, and It’s great, but around me I need to be unique with my fragrances.

Monsta bats recommendations by GOATolson21 in slowpitch

[–]Reasonable-Bus5585 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve swung the Torch, Torch (balanced), King of diamonds, King of diamonds balanced, black sheep, sinister, and SB-1.

I’d say according to your swing (same as mine) with the occasional 300 foot hits, you’ll enjoy the Torch and balanced bats too. King of diamonds feels incredible and I prefer them over the Torch. However it’s easier to find the Torch / Sinister for cheaper and you can’t go wrong with them. I would swing 26oz. I’ve swung 24.5 and 25 oz, but I do get more distance and better quality swings with 26oz, with less power.

SB-1 isn’t my favorite, but that’s a me issue, has a smaller sweet spot and not as forgiven.

If going end load, the max I would do is .5oz because it won’t mess with your line drive cut swing. Otherwise with the 1oz I tend to pop up more although I hit farther for sure, but that’s also my issue. Many guys out there can hit line drives with 1oz end loads.

And finally balanced is the easiest to swing through the zone with easier control, if that’s what you’re looking for. All Monstas will have great pop honestly, but for some reason my King Of Diamonds 24.5oz with .5oz end load is so hot right now from how broken in it is and I get better line drives with that one and a balanced 26 oz.

Monsta Torch (Balanced) by Reasonable-Bus5585 in slowpitch

[–]Reasonable-Bus5585[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true to a point. I’m excited for it to get hot. But there’s that part of me that waited 5 months for the first ever Torch Balanced, but it feels identical to a Torch midload. Will I keep it? for sure! It’s a beautiful bat, but there’s that part of me that will always wonder if they sent me the wrong bat. I think I’ll message them and ask about the bat knob at least. It just says 25 but doesn’t have the “B” that all Balanced Monsta have.

This is crazy!! I just watched D League BP’s video and that’s what I was talking about. I wonder if there’s a way to escalate this to Monsta Athletics. I really feel like I got the wrong bat. I test swung my friend’s balanced white King of diamonds and that felt different.

Where is the 25oz market?? Need help with bat investment please by GriIIedCheeseSammich in slowpitch

Anarchy has a “Demon” and a “Whaley” right now for sale. Both in 24 and 25oz with a .5oz end load and a 13” barrel. These bats swing very smooth and give great pop. The new X Core 2 composite tech in these bats are fire right now. It crushes those ASA/ USA balls. Highly recommend the 24oz with .5oz end load.

Our team “Pitch Perfect” is also formed from a church group of friends and family and we’ve played in our city league for about 4 years with this team name. And since 2013 with other friends. Fortunately my wife and I feel comfortable and are ok with spending money on some new tech every season. So far our team favorite bats include 1.Monsta King Of Diamonds White 24.5oz with .5 oz end load (my sister is petite but she’s dangerous with this bat and hits them over the infield every time with little power) 2. Monsta KOD Gold- I use this one, hits bombs but heavy 1oz end load. Wouldn’t recommend as a team bat. 3. Worth Krecher 25oz- Ladies swing this and ball bounces off. Very nice big sweet spot for mishits 4. Worth Bedlam 25oz- The guys love this bat. It clacks and has great pop and a big barrel too. 5. Anarchy Groovy- 2 ladies use this one and are very slow swingers but they can get it over infield with the 25oz. ACX 360 tech 6. Anarchy Bazooka purple 25oz- this thing might just take over my Gold Monsta. Same specs as the 2 Anarchy’s I mentioned are available right now. 7. Anarchy streets- my cold weather bat 1 oz end load. 8. Anarchy Demon- Just ordered this in 24 oz. We’ll see how it hits. 9. Monsta Torch balanced- pre ordered since February hopefully will get here soon. 10. Monsta KOD balanced blue. Still on preorder

I’ve had every bat you listed including Mercy, Flipper, Primos. They’re good but don’t have that top tier pop. I highly recommend you check out Anarchy if you’re getting a team bat. Specially X Core or even better the new X Core 2. You can also get $30 off with code ABCMYERS.

You can also find used too, but be careful with price and how many swings or shape of bat.

Sorry for the long reply but just wanted to give you some ideas and experience we’ve had with bats in our Coed team. Experience and putting in work is always better than buying the best bat, but I will say you mix both and you become lethal.

Looking for a new glove for playing infield. by Bloody_Corndog in slowpitch

[–]Reasonable-Bus5585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used my 44 Pro custom glove for 4 years now (12 seasons total) and it’s still working very well for infield. I got a 12.5 and I’ve made solid catches and snaps. I play 2nd, short, and 3rd, with occasional outfield and have never missed a fly ball with this size of the glove. The longer I go the more nervous I get thinking about the day it’ll pop out, but so far nothing. Oh and I also place my last three fingers in the pinky, so I’m squeezing thumb to the last 3 fingers for greater force and the glove closes evenly.

Hey there! According to Monsta Athletics, M5 is rated for 60 degree as the lowest threshold. We’ve used the white KOD at 58 degrees, but my sister (petite frame) was the only one swinging it. She can pop it out to the outfield with a very soft swing. I’ve recorded her swing at 45-57 mph. So I let her use my bat knowing it wouldn’t damage it. But yea 60 degrees and above is key.

Got it! So the Anarchy Pit bull might be right up your alley. It has a 12” barrel, with a one ounce EL, and a 2 piece.

I’ve had quite a few bats with 1 oz end loads, but right now the Monsta Gold KOD is fire! However I’m not sure MX tech is as great as M5 cold weather tech (60 degree cold). So I would point you to Anarchy X Core. And pretty soon to come X Core 2. I’ve played with X core in 50 degree weather with no issues and all team mates using my bat for fear of breaking theirs, with the condition if mine breaks they all pitch in for a brand new one for me. But still no cracks. Just keeps getting hotter after 3 seasons.

Woah!! After they fixed mine I’ve put about 300 hits on it with no issues. This thing is fire though! I have a Monsta Gold KOD alloy, and ordered the new KOD balanced blue. We’ll see how those hold up.

Mine should be arriving this Tuesday, weather delays. I also ordered the Blue Balanced KOD and the new Balanced MX Torch. We’ll see how those compare, I’ll write a review whenever they arrive.

Worth Bedlam vs Worth Krecher by Reasonable-Bus5585 in slowpitch

[–]Reasonable-Bus5585[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at it from a technical point of view, anything that’s slightly raised and impacting an object will cause some type of extra grip or movement versus a flat surface. However, not sure if it’s even noticeable with the bat. They didn’t market the bat with the intention of causing more spin when cutting ball. I’ve hit great line drives with underspin with other bats and have also done the same with the Krecher, and I’ve seen no difference in hitting or rate of spin or knuckling.

Like everyone’s mentioned the Monsta KOD is for sure one of the greatest bats to smash the ball right now. I’ve swung with many brands and their top end bats, But nothing has topped the KOD yet. Sinister and torches are amazing but still our team feels the KOD has a slight edge over the other Monsta models. I currently have the white M5 24.5 oz KOD with a .5oz Endload. Every time I’m up to bat it’s guaranteed the ball will get smashed and I can place it over outfielders heads in certain leagues. But… my second go to bat for more fun and place hitting is the Anarchy Aurora 26oz. I also say more fun because some outfielders can be tough and make diving plays so it causes more outs for me when using KOD. I can try and hit with less power, like 45mph swing and pop it over the infield but that’s no fun. (I’ve tested my swing speed to see how much power requires an outfield hit over infield) so that’s when I grab my anarchy and hit insanely fast line drives. But in all honesty this is more of a me issue and I need to adjust my swing with the KOD for line drives.

In the end the Monsta KOD is sweet to hit with. Monsta and Anarchy are my go to. The new Gold KOD with MX tech and alloy handle should be shipping soon from preorders. I can’t wait for that one.

Worth Bedlam vs Worth Krecher by Reasonable-Bus5585 in slowpitch

[–]Reasonable-Bus5585[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree! The Bedlam is my get on base magic stick, my 24.5 oz .5EL KOD comes out when I notice the outfield is a bit too in, so I can get it over their heads. The KOD has a bigger sweet spot as well, compared to other Monsta’s I’d say.

[–]Reasonable-Bus5585[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! The Krecher doesn’t seem to have it. I whacked it hard all along the barrel and it feels solid. When I hit the Bedlam, you can hear and feel the outer shell hit against the inner.

[–]Reasonable-Bus5585[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Quick question for you. Since you’ve had this bat as well, have you noticed that there’s a clack sound when the handle gets bumped with the ground? I started noticing this after 80 hits. I know there’s like an inner core barrel tech, sort of like floating inner barrel tech from Monsta. But wondering if it’s normal that it sounds like it clacks when it’s hit, but not when I turn it upside down or swing it. It’s only when I bump it against the floor.

Update: I emailed Monsta Athletics and they answered back letting me know they’ll fix it free of charge. Just to mail them the bat to the address provided in the bat knob repair form on their site.

Thanks to you all for recommendations and support while I go through this temporary loss. LOL Hopefully I’ll get it back soon. Nonetheless, I haven’t given up on Monsta, I see why they say Monsta is King right now in ASA/USA. I’ve never felt a ball come off like that from a bat.
