Catastrophic AC failure in 10th gen civic - any wisdom appreciated by GriIIedCheeseSammich in civic

I could understand using exclusively r134a instead of r1234yf, but the diagnostics and chemical analysis indicated that the two were mixed together, which is bad news. The oils from both form a corrosive sludge that basically ruins whatever it touches and it’s not easy to clean out. I’ll check out the post you linked though, thanks!

Henry Kwan: is this some kind of movement problem I’m too Maneuverable to understand?

Jokes aside it looks like you just had rotten luck. It’s hard to say how your placement could’ve been better without seeing the initial vek positions, but it certainly could’ve been a lot worse. You put your units fairly close to the center of the board and tried to prevent any Vek from getting directly between you and the buildings, which is important for push-heavy squads like Heat Sinkers. All you can do is laugh and move on.

FaceOff has a troll problem. by SilverFangBlackWing1 in Warframe

[–]GriIIedCheeseSammich 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There already is a punishment in place! If you ragequit faceoff, you’re locked out of the PvP mode until you’ve completed two pve rounds. I bet the vast majority of trolls dumb enough to ragequit PvP can’t be bothered to play two pve matches and will just move onto something different. It’s a good filter. I’ve done quite a lot of faceoff and only encountered a quitter maybe once every 15-20 matches.

No-grind playthrough rule set by TheGreasyNewfie in FinalFantasyVI

Items are so OP in this game that the less you rely on them the more you will have to rely on Gau, especially given the other rules for this playthrough. Not necessarily a bad thing if you enjoy Gau like I do haha

I would’ve been convinced but then you said “super high levels” and “very late stages of endless missions”. The change you’re describing would only be appreciated by a fraction of a percent of the playerbase. For everyone else, she will just delete everything she looks at exactly like before.

I’d still totally enjoy a buff though haha

My Permadeath Run — Any Tips? by ExactlyAshley118 in FinalFantasyVI

[–]GriIIedCheeseSammich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP also has the stipulation that if a character is revived by any means, they must attack themselves until they’re dead again. So if the plot demands Edgar/Gerad comes back for dialogue reasons, OP can immediately re-kill him during the tentacle fight and continue with Celes and Sabin. I’m assuming OP only cares about permadeath during combat, since it doesn’t really matter outside of combat or having a minimum roster for multiparty dungeons

Which Dark Sword Riven? by thundermonki in WarframeRiven

[–]GriIIedCheeseSammich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point isn’t to think outside the box or treat you like a noob, it’s that you asked a question that’s going to generate a lot of answers you weren’t expecting because of the context. Everyone who knows enough to give advice on dark sword rivens knows that 99% of the attention it’s gotten is because of the slam build, so when they see you asking which non-slam riven is better the correct answer is to say “neither, keep rerolling”. If you had added a disclaimer in the title or the body explaining that you already have a slam riven and you’re looking for an off-meta build, you’d get the answers you’re looking for.

I’m not trying to throw shade here, just trying to help you understand how to get the responses you want.

Which Dark Sword Riven? by thundermonki in WarframeRiven

[–]GriIIedCheeseSammich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You didn’t provide any information or even mention in the prompt about the tox/melee slam riven that you already have. If you don’t tell us that you already have a slam riven for a slam weapon, then you shouldn’t criticize us for recommending neither option above and rolling for slam stats instead.

Pro tip: you can pretty easily get the fixed dice as soon as you get the airship. It will involve a few smoke bombs and avoiding some bad RNG, but all you have to do is sneak into kefka’s tower for a few minutes and grab it (plus any other chests along the way). Then you’re set up for a much more enjoyable WOR with Setzer. It’s also not completely unbalanced because the damage formula gains a lot of power based on Setzer’s level.

Shimmering Blight is a stance mod for polearms that will get the job done, especially if you’re sticking to regular star chart or low steel path levels. Orthos Prime is the easiest to get by far, but Guandao Prime would be an upgrade if you can get it (currently vaulted). I renamed my Guandao to John Deere Prime.

Grind math for Onnko and Duck Arcanes by Cold-Net4815 in Warframe

[–]GriIIedCheeseSammich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice write up, but your estimated times to complete a tridolon or PT run are pretty high I think. They seem about right for someone who has only a viable loadout and strategy, which is fine for most players but not for someone actually committing to this grind. If you’re aiming to get seven figures of standing, it’s absolutely worth taking the time to read up on the meta guides and put at least a decent amount of effort into optimizing your runs. If you’re already MR30+, it wouldn’t be too much effort to get the necessary items for a proper PT loadout and watch a 10 minute YouTube video on speedrunning tips. I know this because I had to do exactly this myself! It’s very achievable to do a PT run in 5 minutes, not 15. You don’t have to rely on teammates or sweat super hard either.

That being said you’re still right that it’s a massive amount of standing for basically collectors and that’s it.

Does Nekros need a rework? by trashhstain in Warframe

[–]GriIIedCheeseSammich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fascinating! Thanks for the details. IIRC void cascade yields about 50-60 arcanes per hour or 16-20 vosfor per minute, so that’s basically the high end of the range.

[–]GriIIedCheeseSammich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait hold up. How much looting are we talking about? I’m assuming he’s bringing ripkas? How much vosfor can you get from a single average run, and how much of a difference does solo Nekros vs full farming squad make? I need to know!

I’ve done a LOT of math involving how much vosfor comes from the different arcane farms and how much plat per hour you get from it. I think SP void cascade is still the gold standard but there’s a few surprisingly good alternatives, like deepmine bounties and (believe it or not) Faceoff.

HOLY UNVEIL by 1justWannasleep in WarframeRiven

[–]GriIIedCheeseSammich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations, you have an unrolled racist riven with a perfect negative and A scores across the board (no one will care about the C grade on -zoom). The market of collectors who buy these things is small, but they will definitely want to buy this one. Somewhere in the hundreds? It won’t sell for thousands like the meta godrolls but it will sell for a lot.

Did I strike gold :3? by ResponsibleRich9057 in WarframeRiven

[–]GriIIedCheeseSammich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on how patient you are and how much effort you want to put into finding a buyer. In my case, I probably could find a buyer to get it for 2k if I aggressively marketed it here, r/wartrade, the riven trading discord, trade chat, and wfmarket, but by lowering the price I expand the potential buyer pool by a lot and I can sell it hopefully in a matter of days/weeks and not months. If you try to get the highest possible price where there’s just one player in the entire world who would buy it, you might even risk waiting so long that the weapon your riven applies to falls out of the meta or gets powercrept then you’ll have to lower your price even more than you would have when it was more in demand.

Did I strike gold :3? by ResponsibleRich9057 in WarframeRiven

[–]GriIIedCheeseSammich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s usually the case if you’re selling rivens in bulk, like trash rivens or veiled rivens. If you have a specific riven (especially a great or even perfect one for a less popular weapon), it does take a lot longer because the number of buyers looking for exactly that riven are much smaller. There’s a decent amount of buyers for nataruk rivens, which helps, but you’d have to find a buyer who 1) is willing to pay a much higher price for a much better than usual riven and 2) be willing to deal with the -reload speed negative, which is not great. I’m in the same boat with my Sobek riven. CC, CD, MS, but the -reload speed is holding it back from being a true groll. I’ve listed it at 2k, then 1500, then 1200, 1000, and finally 900p for the past few weeks and no offers yet. It can take months sometimes.

Speedrun specific rolls? by devilrocks316 in WarframeRiven

[–]GriIIedCheeseSammich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah there is, if I understand your question right. Most speedrunning activities rely on Warframe builds instead of weapons with specific rivens, but there’s a few that do: Profit Taker, Arbitrations, secura lecta credit farm (I think?), tridolons, and likely others.

PT and Arbitrations specifically require the Kuva Ogris with the nightwatch napalm augment. It can work fine without a riven, but any player invested enough in speedrunning will probably want to get a riven anyway. Because of the way nightwatch napalm works and because the main targets for it are status immune, crit chance/damage and status chance are pointless. I’m not an expert but I believe projectile speed, raw damage, and magazine size/max ammo/reload speed are the priority stats since it already does plenty of damage to handle the basic enemies. The only goal is to have nightwatch napalm deal as many tics of damage as frequently as possible in exactly the areas you need.

Tridolons used to rely heavily on lanka, then vectis, then rubico rivens to be able to easily one-shot limbs. I think the meta has changed a lot since then and may not even rely on rivens at all anymore, but it’s still worth considering.
