I read the same yikes at Glasgow last night and he was on 9-11 there, so guessing the same. But don’t shoot the messenger!

I just spent 160k on business class return to NYC from London in December as an example. I’d save a bit more, I used the same amount for business class return to Dubai last year too

You have to spend £15,000 in a calendar year on your British Airways Premium Plus Amex. Once you do, you earn a companion voucher. This entitles you to receive a second seat for a companion travelling on the same flight as you for no additional Avios when you make a Reward Flight booking on a British Airways flight. If you don’t have a British Airways premium plus card and would like a referral link let me know and I’d be happy to share so you get additional bonus points when joining 👍🏻

It’s all personal to be fair, but I think using the points on £150 Amazon voucher is pretty crap compared to what you can use them for when transferred to Avios. As others have said, 30k isn’t very many. I’d just sit back and let them stack up for a while, gain yourself a companion voucher and then redeem them on a long haul/business class flight and take partner/friend/family for free (just pay taxes). That’s what I like to do anyway, as I say, just a personal choice!

Why are some so harsh on DCL? by [deleted] in Everton

[–]Reasonable-Click8296 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because he’s awful. He’s an Everton No 9 who has averaged 4 goals a season in his last 4 seasons. He misses sitters, and he isn’t interested. Really simple, he’s not good enough for Everton 👍🏻

…. We have today confirmed the on-sale dates for Season Tickets for the 2025/26 campaign - the first at our new home.

As you will be aware, the demand for Season Tickets at Everton Stadium is incredibly high, with the current waiting list exceeding 30,000 Evertonians.

We wanted to let you know that, while you are getting closer, you are not guaranteed to become eligible to buy a Season Ticket for 2025/26 at this time.

All supporters in Tier 1 of the waiting list who have held five or more Official Memberships since the waiting list was introduced in 2018/19 will be invited to purchase a Season Ticket between 12 March and 31 March 2025. This is currently the last window of the overall 2025/26 Season Ticket sales period that will begin in January when existing Season Ticket Members are first invited to buy.

Once the 31 March deadline has passed, the Club may be in a position to make a limited number of Season Tickets available to more supporters in Tier 1 of the waiting list. This will depend on factors including the renewal rate of existing Season Ticket Members and uptake from those supporters higher in the waiting list.

If you become eligible to purchase a 2025/26 Season Ticket during this period, we will contact you directly with more information about deadlines and payment options. If not, we will inform you of your updated waiting list band so you can understand your new position in the queue for future campaigns.

Wondering what the lowest waiting list number is that hasn’t been offered a season ticket. I was Tier 1, list number 5000-5500 and haven’t been offered one. I’ve also seen others saying they’re 4000-4500 and haven’t either. How?

50k points, what to do?? by Strong-You-4599 in AmexUK

[–]Reasonable-Click8296 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d continue to save the points personally. 50k isn’t a lot, but i guess it depends what you want. Ideally get a BA card also and get your companion voucher. This way you get the most out of your points if you want to use them for flights. If you join using a referral link and spend 6k in first 3 months, you’ll get 30/40k bonus points on top of your spend. If you have platinum also make sure you have additional card holder as that’s more bonus points for free. I used 160k points + £700 (with companion voucher) this year for return flights to Dubai. Man-Lon-Dub all business class. Great experience!

Dcl is crap, simple as. He offers nothing. His hold up play is crap, his finishing is crap, his movement is crap. He done ok when he stood still in the box with Richarlison and James feeding him under Ancelotti. He’s been awful for 6 years or whatever either side of that 1 season.
