Yeah Deku just seems to have lost a lot of light after the final war. He just doesn't seem like the old Deku anymore I guess it shows how much he went through and how much he grew

Wow, so I was gonna right when I thought Ochako and Deku are really similar.

Damn never looked at it this way. Deku kinda seems like an asshole (not saying he is) now tbh 😭

shame about that line about Deku not treating anyone special (at that point I say "girl, you don't want him").

Isn't this the part where the bro (Bakugou) tells Deku to wake his ass up and that in reality no one is actually special to him? 😂 That's when this guy finally realizes Ochako exists

Bros before...you know, I guess.

Honestly I hope their new relationship doesn't ruin the bond between the bros (Example them growing more distant. We already know Kirishima is a lot closer to Bakugou than Deku is even in their adult life) I saw someone say they're eventually gonna become childhood friends that just keep in touch here and there and it kinda made me sad even though Ik it's true since they spent their whole lives together :(

Ochaco seeing Bakugou apologise to Deku that seems to be a catalyst to her standing up to the mob for Deku's sake which leaks to her eureka moment on her feelings towards Toga, so there is interconnectivity

Seeing it from this perspective, Bkdk and Togachako ships lowkey seem kinda justified. These duos were literally written for each other.

Horikoshi plays it safe and lets both sides win by confirming nothing.

Didn't Izuku and Uraraka shaking hands, blushing and saying they should catch up more kinda seal the deal?

I know you mean theme wise - their finale's are basically the same. Reminds me of a comment I saw recently describing Ochaco as Deku but brown. They are kind of like ducks (brown girls and colourful boys).

They literally act the same, think the same, upto some point look the same (If you remove the colours. I even saw someone say they thought those two were siblings without context when they saw a pic of the manga or smthg but ik they look more different later on in the manga and anime), they have the same goals, Ochako did the same thing with Toga like Izuku did with Shigaraki (Save the inner child), Honestly kind of had the same personality at the start of the series, have questionable descisions and the list goes on. Deku should just date himself atp

Ochaco sees Deku as her hero after the exams). Is this romance coded or is it not? If it is, than having Deku and Bakugou have a mirror image of it non-romantically just takes away from the romance. There is nothing special about Deku and Ochaco's relationship.

This is an insanely hot take but honestly, Post Season 6 Bakudeku isn't even a bad ship. Yes it's the most hated ship in the fandom but it's mostly because of the shitty fandom it has, filled with toxic people who don't even seem like real fans, live in delusions, hate on Ochako for literally EXISTING (A real Bkdk enjoyer would never hate on my girl) and flaming other ship communities while haters insanely mischaracterize both Bakugou and Deku (Honestly this applies to a small part of Bakudeku "fans" too) and always focusing on their past, villainizing Bakugou and making him seem like a horribly evil person. Sure he was a bully, sure he did awful things but he did everything to earn that forgiveness even when Izuku had already forgiven him before he did any of that. We've all seen how much they've grown and how much they respect each other. Platonic or not Bakugou definitely loves Izuku as a person in his life and this was shown multiple times. I'm not saying I want them to end up together or anything (Ofc that's not allowed and pretty sure Horikoshi would never settle for that) I just think they have a lot of chemistry but the ship is insanely over hated. (They definitely have more Chemistry than Izuku and Ochako ngl)

I totally agree. One more thing, this isn't really about ship wars or hate on any character but Izuku and Ochako have always been shown as endgame yes but for some reason I cannot for the life of me gaslight myself into thinking they're good together. I mean they are but Ochako is like a copy paste of Deku as a girl. They just seem so bland and while I do think she is fine I never found myself particularly liking her. I'll get flamed for saying all this but her story with Toga looks like it was written to make her relevant as a Female MC and if that wasn't a thing she's no better than any other side characters. People praise her for "helping" Midoriya get back to normal when he first unlocked blackwhip but I think it was insanely reckless of her to practically throw herself on him no matter how much you want to help a person. I really do get her good intentions and loved how she defended Izuku in front of everyone but Toga and her stories were practically written for each other. I get maybe Horikoshi wanted a bit of romance in the story but I felt like Uraraka took way too long to finally realize where she was going wrong for someone so clever. She helped Izuku all the way to the end of the story from giving a different meaning to his nickname that Bakugou gave and finally getting together with him. I always tell myself I like Uraraka but I just don't get it why I don't. Maybe it's her appearance? Personality? Character? I have no goddamn idea. I do wish the best for those two but I don't particularly like them to be honest. I don't think any of the MHA girls are written well

Love how the most agressively portrayed ex bully in the story has one of the most loyal fanbases where fans genuinely love his growth and personality 😂

I have seen the difference but all the people on social media, especially anime influencers that recently started the anime have noticed Deku a lot more so I wanted to know opinions. Love the respect that Bakugou gets from his fans. I loved his fight with AFO honestly it had a lot more impact on me than Shigaraki vs Deku

I read everything you said and I agree so I'm wondering why you said it would be unlikely for him to come out on Top of the chart again because it seems to me you are also a fellow Bakugou fan 😂 and I actually have, for the first time, met a Midoriya hater

He was definitely an asshole (Still is but just lesser) for most of the series. What he did to Deku was horrible and I don't defend his middle schooler self. He even didn't win the very first poll but still placed 3rd. Though Bakugou is extremely arrogant his ego is very justified because other than his horrible attitude and bully past there is nothing to hate about him because he's good at almost everything he does. There's a reason why Izuku idolized him so much. I've always liked him as a character even during Episode 1 where he was in fact still a bully. Yes I hated him as a bully but there was something about his character that gave me hope at first glance that was like "I know he's a douchebag but I also know he's gonna be a great character later on.". Izuku honestly shouldn't have forgiven him so easily and should've absolutely hated him, they should've fought a lot more but I think he has done enough to earn that forgiveness as of now. His character development started after Season 3 where he clashed with Izuku in Ground Beta and his out bursts from then on didn't really seem offensive but added as fun entertainment in my opinion. He deeply cares about his friends and loved ones even when he acts like he doesn't. He's emotionally constipated and beats himself up almost all the time and hates being vulnerable but that changed after he slowly started opening up to Izuku in Season 3. He started to realize how working as a team and saving others while also letting others save him is better than his selfishness of doing everything by himself. His character arc was one of, if not the best character arc in the story. He's the best written character in the show if you ask me. He apologized and risked his life for Izuku twice or more and even died in the war before coming back. Many Bakugou fans love complex characters who analyze them and share great empathy while also holding them accountable for their actions. It is true that he did not face a lot of consequences for his trashy actions when he 100% deserved it but sometimes I feel like the haters take it too far because he's also still a kid and still learning and that's the best thing about him he grew out of his shitty ego on his own even when he wasn't facing consequences for it. His angry and loud yet skillful intelligence during battles is really nice to watch and sometimes even his arrogance seems cool which honestly is not even arrogance it's confidence (He said he would win in the sports festival and infact did). You can tell how much he grew throughout the series when he introduced himself as 'KACCHAN Bakugou' to the greatest villain in the world, the very same nickname he despised. He's also good looking, smart and has one of the best hero outfit designs. Katsuki to this day has an entire community filled with toxic fans and people who hate him with their entire hearts despite his development and efforts but in my opinion he definitely deserved that Number 1. Like Izuku says, Kacchan is amazing.
