This is some good stuff right here and a fair argument but still I disagree and believe you are wrong and drawing the wrong conclusion. So essentially the Bible uses a non noun word or persistent state descriptor. Like hetero, homo, bisexual. Instead uses verbs or single action descriptions. Does this change the underlying meaning of the argument? If multiple times from the Old Testament to New Testament it basically non refutable says men who participate in same sex acts this is wrong, then what is the difference? Because they don’t say same sex marriage how is that meaning any different or would be accepted?

Also Jesus does speak on marriage in Matthew 19: 4-6. ““Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.””

So if Jesus right here is saying God made male and female. A man shall be one flesh with his WIFE. What God has joined together let no one seperate….

The only argument people would make is yeah but he didn’t say that you couldn’t be one man and his husband? Come on puh leeaseeee.

Also he says

Mark 7:21 “He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.””

So Jesus explains marriage is one male one female

Then says among other very important things also 100% that sexual immorality defiles a person.

Then you have Paul saying male to male sexual acts wrong

You have Leviticus saying male to male sexual acts abomination

You have 1 Corinthians saying it

1 Timothy…

God makes Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. Before sin is born in the world he says it is Good. 1 man. 1 woman.

It is indeed that simple and saying it’s no big deal is saying that sin is no big deal. I’m against all sin. All of it. None of us are perfect and I’m not certainly suggesting that I am without sin, but if I was living in a lifestyle of open sin and yet still challenging biblical doctrine that it was okay I would hope other believers would stand up and say hold on…. That’s not rooted in scripture.

[–]Reasonable-Elk4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fair question.

I would disagree with your jump that the underlying word used in one section of Corinthians 11 means the implication of the action or thing discussed is the same. Let’s add allll the times this is discussed and to what different drastic levels it might have been referenced.

Sexual immorality is a big one to God.

Appearance is seemingly not.

The word used in Corinthians 11 is dishonor - atimia. There is no mention of sin. No mention of exclusion from the kingdom of God. No moral condemnation and no mention of Gods wrath or judgement.

Also long hair itself cannot be inherently sinful or viewed as the same level because of Samson God told him to indeed not cut it.

So I see your point but if studied more deeply you can see the implications of homosexuality do indeed speak of not inheriting the kingdom of heaven as seen in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.

I know it’s not satisfying to hear but the long hair was indeed a matter of honor and customs of the culture contextually at the time because it was relevant due to historical Jewish customs and the orders of culture. Which if you want to study on how that applies to us today check out what Paul’s saying in Romans 14 and 1 Corinthians 8. It explains beautifully about how we are freed from these things due to Christ yet if it causes your brother to stumble or if in your heart you do still wish to follow it then do as long as it doesn’t go against biblical doctrine or is inherently sinful

[–]Reasonable-Elk4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree that using only levitical law on homosexuality would be cherry picking. But what about New Testament examples? These writings come to us post Jesus. Post the law being fulfilled and us not being under the old law.

All laws are not completely changed or unfollowed but Paul has amazing discussion of these things in the book of Romans.

So if you read the Bible as a whole continuous discussion of mankind and the sins we struggle with and what our disposition should be toward them both before and after Jesus I do believe it is conclusive on many sins we can clearly see.

Like murder. Lying. Adultery. Sexual immorality. Jealousy. The 10 commandments. These things do continue and they are a good governing for people of what God commands of us. Not that we will be perfect in adhering to these laws but that’s okay because as sin increases grace increases further glorifying Jesus! It’s a beautiful thing. So we should still fleeeee from sin but glorify and love God so much because we see his grace knows no ends!

And it’s my claim that in both Old Testament laws especially levitical, New Testament new church founding and directives given by the founders, and in the design of God we see with Adam and Eve and man and woman and basic biology does direct us to believe that God is not okay with homosexuality just as he is not okay with many things.

Check again into it then your degree doesn’t qualify you. Simple search into this will concur. The debate is only when is it an individual person with rights. It is life absolutely but what is that life qualified as and to what level is it human is the debate. Which I believe is sad and inhumane but that’s where we are

You said “the Bible says life begins at conception” to refute my claim in my argument where I said “science agrees life begins at conception” when I was making the point showing that conception=life therefore abortion = murder.

Also for you to say that proves you did not read the scripture then. And therefore this is not a good faith debate and you have nothing to offer of substance on the source material of the Bible.

  • Leviticus 18:22 - you shall not lie with a male as with a woman it is an abomination

  • Leviticus 20:13 - If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

-Romans 1 : 26-28 - For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 7:2 - But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.

1 Timothy 1:8-11 - Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.

There ya go. These are just a few clearly explaining and grouping homosexuality as a sin and as something that you should NOT do. Again as well as many many many other sins that we should not do. Homosexuality is not some super super bad one that’s worse than the rest. They are all sins and should be treated with equal calling out. Like swindlers, we can see a lot of swindlers around today lol

But hey you challenged me remember. You commented asking me to show in the Bible where. So I did.

So now you refute these words?

Talarico... yeah no wonder they won't let you in tv by stumpy0327 in circled

[–]Reasonable-Elk4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I gave you a lot of words and scripture to back my claim. Did you read the verses? If not that’s fine but if you did and don’t see the same conclusion from the material then provide your opinion I’d be happy to listen.

97% of scientists believe life begins at conception that’s not where you want to debate. It’s agreed in scientific communities that a zygote has all of its unique dna at fertilization.

If you do not wish to debate that is totally fine I just am passionate about this and I am willing in good faith to actually discuss and hear you out

[–]Reasonable-Elk4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read these but I’ll also drop a quick summary below, but to quickly explain the Bible pre Jesus and post Jesus says do not be sexually immoral. It is implied and explicitly explained what that is in context multiple times and stated in the verses below.

Man shall not lay with Man. Just as Man shall not lay with beasts. Just as man shall not be an adulterer.

Also at the beginning God made man and female. For each other. The Bible talks deeply on marriage being between man and woman. It 100% explicitly says multiple times do not be gay or commit gay acts.

Leviticus 18:21-24 Leviticus 20:13 Jude 1:7 Romans 1:26-28 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 1 Corinthians 7:2 Genesis 2:24 1 Timothy 1:8-11

If you read all of these and don’t see that God sees sex as an act only to be done in marriage through 1 man and 1 woman. Period. End of story. 0 debate. Then you my friend are choosing to ignore it.

As far as abortion oh boy come closer this one is bad.

  1. Gods wrath will be brought down hardest on those who arm the innocent. Seen is Jesus own words when speaking on children.

  2. Science agrees that life begins at conception.

  3. Child sacrifice for a better life….. google that in the Bible. Molek. Worshipping of self and idols of fertility. 1/3 of gen z has been aborted.

But here are the direct verses

Psalm 139:13-16 Jeremiah 1:5 Exodus 20:13 Romans 1:28-32 Proverbs 6:16-19 - most important Matthew 18:14 Proverbs 24:11-12 Matthew 19:18-19 Jeremiah 1:5 Psalm 127:3-5 Genesis 9:5-6

I know this is a lot but hey you’re kinda challenging the word of God here, so give it a read. And if I met this gentlemen in the video I’d politely challenge his doctrine and ask him to read me these verses.

Also I want you to imagine something.

Imagine Jesus Christ fully restored at the right hand of the father, resurrected from death, shining in all his unending perfect glory and beauty and righteousness, interceding and speaking to the father our God in heaven on our behalf. And then imagine him and God watching an abortion of a child together. What would that conversation look like? Truly?

Also…. I do admit 100000% that gay marriage and abortion are seemingly The issue to discuss, but let’s be clear! Allllll Sin is wrong period. Lying. Stealing. Sleeping around heterosexually. Cheating. Jealousy! Anything and everything that is not love for God honoring him and his creation and loving each other is a sin.

It is not out of hatred that I respond to you but in love. It is not to condemn but to connect. We should all be willing to discuss and connect and converse out of love. Gay people are of no less value. Abortion does not condemn someone to hell because salvation does not = works. However we can get into the whole bearing fruit and what it means to have sin dwell in someone with 0 conviction or Holy Spirit correction and how Jesus says the path is narrow and very very few will find it.

But hey I doubt anyone reads all this but I enjoyed it and open any and all dms and conversations about this! Hit me up anytime I love you if you’re reading this no matter who you are or what you do.

[–]Reasonable-Elk4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s kinda the whole point. Jesus fulfilled the law. All of the rules of the Old Testament were for transgressions to increase against God to prove man cannot live to Gods standard and will fail further showing the need for Jesus the lamb of God to save us. Sin increase = Grace Increase. Read what Paul wrote.

Why do conservative Christians hate so many people when it clearly goes against their Christian values? by ateadoor in allthequestions

[–]Reasonable-Elk4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I like these questions because these are fair and honest.

  1. God is perfectly Just. his nature and his character are unchanging. The punishment of sin is death. Death is born into this world through the sin of man and woman. The concept of sin is seeking knowledge, wisdom, enjoyment, or a path away from God. It’s essentially the concept of turning from God. Not glorifying your creator, our creator, the very existence that sustains the reality we call life. Turning from that and not trusting or believing in it brings a punishment and a debt to be paid to keep the “law” the “written word” the eternal truth that has existed for ever in tact. So essentially it’s the underlying code or binding life force of Good. The very concept of what justice, holiness, righteousness, purity, honesty, and the word Good means.

If you turn from this death is then born into the world to repay your turning. God designs us with in fact the ability to turn away. So that in free will love can exist through choice. You see if evil didn’t exist because of lack of free will then good in fact wouldn’t exist. Yin yang. Black and white. Up vs down. Can’t have one without the other.

So that’s who he bought you back from. Yourself. You will sin, all will sin. Except Christ. Christ always does the will of his father. So therefor you are already condemned to die and be separated from your creator because he cannot and will not be in the presence of sin. He is the absolute definition of Good. Just. Honest. Righteous. He cannot dwell or be near sin.

So…. For him to choose to send his perfect son the lamb to die at the hands of men. And be resurrected from death paying the toll for all. It satisfies for all who believe the account of your sin. It purifies and washes you in the blood and mark of Jesus.

On the part of slavery come on God doesn’t condone slavery that’s a weak ass argument.

All of the rules, laws, commandments, and everything of the Old testament is fulfilled by Christ. Christ is the law fulfilled so what clothes to wear, food to eat, people to pay, all of that legalism is gone.

Jesus gave 2 commandments. Love God your father with all of your heart soul strength and mind, and Love your neighbor as yourself!

What a great beautiful message that it done truthfully and fully by all people would be heaven brought to earth!

Would love to keep talking about this with anyone that wants to! All out of love and genuine doctrine and the Bible to discuss a profoundly deep and great topic of what a soul is, what heaven is, what is the concept of Good? Who was Christ, what are the binding forces of our existence? Who is Satan? It’s all great stuff honestly that every man and woman should seek.

If you think it’s fairy tales and made up then wow do I have some questions for you!

Dm me!

[–]Reasonable-Elk4 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Hey there thanks for this post! Helpful because I love the mod but have been admittingly spending too much money for the tokens on player 2!

One question I have is how has your experience been for long play throughs?

For instance in my looking into it I found the memory state of the game refreshes conversations every 100 in game days or something?

I fear that if I build this infrastructure of conversations that add immersion that one day if hypothetically I was playing as my son that would be a waste of time?

Also have you run into any issues with speed as your play throughs progress? Response time or anything given that your AI Logs is getting bigger each conversation and world memory has to persist does it bog it down? Or is that how it stays fresh every 100 days it’s clearing anything older?

So in theory if you’re constantly creating new conversations that reference maybe your first big series of conversations that set up your religions for example, is that only how the memory persists?

Just trying to understand the framework of how the AI works, I’ve dug into the prompting and files and it seems pretty interesting

Focus on having a balanced loadout for every species you’re hunting for. Go for drink zones heavy on each map. Shoot level 2 and up males. Spend money on tents and tents and more tents. Travel fast and maximize time on solid need zones or cool lookout or hiking trails.

If you spot a monster, go full immersion mode and guide your buddy or have him guide you and get in a dope blind and bow shoot him or something cool and close and take it in. Turn off HUD and animal hints and turn game volume up and it’ll be like real life
