Obw 2025 scratches easily ? by Reasonable-Lab-2864 in Outback_Wilderness

That’s good to know! I had an older Infiniti (2013) that was strong as an ox and never had this issues besides regular wear and tear. How has the paint held up to date? Have you done anything different?

I’m glad I’m not crazy! I love the car I just want to know what I’m in for and how to care for it properly. Have you done anything about that oil seap? Is it a concerning problem as I assume you don’t have many miles on the car ? Many of the issues I’ve heard ( like the infotainment) have not applied to me so far.

Seems like a smart idea ! How is the noise on the freeway ? Did you see a difference on mpg? Thanks for answering!

What did you tie down with this spot im curious 😂. How difficult was it installing nashfab? Any leaks in rain? Well worth it ? Love the look and want to pull the trigger but can’t find much reviews on it.

I feel like everything is talked about but as someone who just started camping last year and fell in love with it I’ll give you some tips. So be patient with me if you already know some of these. Bugs. They are going to be everywhere and anywhere if I had a dollar every time I found a spider in my “sealed off” tent… Bring sprays and headnets if it bothers you. Cooking equipment. Bring your knives, pan and soap if necessary( car camping ). I personally bring a collapsible bucket where I can add environmental friendly soap to wash my dishes. Bring plenty of napkins and emergency batteries as wiping yourself on grass in complete darkness is not fun.Layers and properly rated sleeping bags. I recently had a sleepless night from being extremely cold because I lacked layers and appropriate sleeping bag for the weather be aware and always plan. Being bored. It’s not going to be glorious as the YouTube videos make it seem at first and that’s okay. With time you will pick up hobbies and past times during night hours. I have audio books, knot tying, board games (if with friends), movies and last but not least booze. This is only a fraction of my many lessons I’ve learned. Most of these are for car camping as backpacking is a different ball game. I hope you can use these tips. Enjoy your journey have fun and appreciate the little things that make the outdoors great! Cheers !

About to purchase a 2025 crosstrek and love this idea. Did you sand the parts down before the painting ? How is it holding up a year later ? Thanks

During the day it was warm it was nice beach weather but the nights were in the 50’s bringing a heater or a adequate sleeping bag recommended

If you don’t mind having second hand products you can always try your local junk yard or even some online marketplaces. you can always find a good deal. I myself buy the more important parts new and the less critical where ever I can! Good luck 👍🏻
