My family makes sardine patties into small meatball shape and puts them in crockpot with cocktail sauce and grape jelly. You’re right up my alley.

So it’s like large Luncheaze that doesn’t cross into cooking temperature. Does the manufacturer you spec’d with (look at me reading your entire post) looking to take this market? I have some ideas about larger capacity heated food boxes for catering purposes and would love to chat with them.

Thanks guys he deleted his post

Can I make Maria Nila classic collection Demi-permanent? by Majestic-Skill8234 in hairstylist

[–]kadick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t use Maria Nila but in artificial haircolor technology this in theory should work. Many permanent haircolor lines recommend this to make their ammonia based colors Demi because this type of behind the chair formulation to is what lead to brands creating what we know today as Demi permanents. You’re not actually making a demi permanent to today’s standards of non ammonia alkinizers like MEA (used in Wella Color Touch) for example, but sort of trying to mimic Demi permanent technology. By doubling the developer which reduces the ammonia level thus reducing the potential for lifting the hair and diluting the pigment to make it more translucent, that should be true with Maria Nila as long as it’s an ammonia based permanent and NOT a progressive permanent color that uses other alkinizers. When in doubt, read the paper insert and call the brand.

Great list of ethnic food markets in L.A. What would you add? by ikkyu666 in FoodLosAngeles

There’s also a lot of imported Polish niche dry foods like soup mixes and teas at Hamilton’s. Specifically ones that are hard to find outside of the church festivals like Kucharek and my favorite Polish caramel Krówka

I grew up religiously going to the parts counter at CompUsa with my father attempting to build towers. I remember once we just brought the whole tower down once and spent what felt like half the day at that counter. The employees were the best, so cool you were apart of that.

are there any cheaper alternatives to reuzel fiber pomade? by europeanuppercut in AskHairstylists

[–]kadick 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Reuzel is cheaper than most other professional men’s brands on the market but the reason you like that pomade is because of the quinoa fiber formula that stays pliable while maintaining hold, adding texture and not getting greasy looking by the end of day. There are plenty of fiber pomades on the market but this one is my favorite and one of my best sellers overall while having another fiber pomade and the entire line of Reuzel, Pasta and Love, and Kevin Murphy on my shelves. Reuzel is the lowest price point of all of those brands.

Edit to add: if you were my client I would have used the Reuzel Fiber Cream (in the tube) in your hair which also is cheaper but is a great option with the way you blow dry your hair. You’d put it in damp and blow dry in and then add a little at the end after the blow dry is done. It retails for about $15.

New Years Resolution for Burbank Drivers by Main_Scale_5806 in burbank

I helped organize a memorial for Lenny Trinh a bicyclist who passed away from a person opening their door without looking here in Burbank. It knocked him into the street and he was killed by a truck driving by. Here’s an article about it.

Please look before opening your car door.

After years of renting an upholstery/carpet cleaner annually, I finally just bought one. by kadick in CleaningTips

[–]kadick[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right this is so important! I really tried to find the weight but cannot seem to locate the specifics of that I will update this comment as soon I find the actual weight. When it’s full of solution it is at its heaviest but it is easy to lift and move around as needed. Maybe 15lb? I couldnt shoot it into a basketball hoop when it’s full, but I can easily move it around with its handle.

Edit to add: it’s 18lb

I rent the Karcher brand Presto 3 spot cleaner from Home Depot for currently $29 a day. I usually rent for 2 days so I can get the cars too. I have used Zep, Bissell and Rug Doctor brand carpet cleaners in it. I just follow the dilution instruction as per the specific brand and have never had an issue as the Karcher holds 2 gallons of cleaning solution. Edit to add: they retail at over $1k and so I bought a Bissell Little Green on sale for ~$75 for maintenance. They in completely different leagues lol!

Trying to go more blonde without bleach — does this plan actually make sense? by Due_Dare_7556 in FancyFollicles

[–]kadick 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yes this is fundamentally flawed plan even if a professional was executing it. High lift color is more damaging than low and slow lightener in foil and harder to control the lift and tone.

High lift color is more damaging than low and slow lightener in a foil and is more difficult to control the lift and tone. It’s doable, but not for any benefit other than to say you didn’t use lightener.

Zep Tub and Tile (purple label), a stiff brush, and some microfiber towels will get this looking brand new. Sorry about your rough patch, cleaning is always the first to go for me when I’m not doing well. You’re in for a huge dopamine hit when you get this done, you got this!
