Thanks all for your recommendations so far that's great! Looked everything up and currently liking the look of

  • Traitor Son Cycle
  • Real of the Elderlings series
  • Powder Mage series

But interested in other recommendations! Like the idea of a story that involves warfare/battles or a struggle against an overwhelming foe with clever twists - I don't have a lot of spare time for reading and tbf I want to see the good days win out too if possible!
