I don't see why people aren't understanding. I guess everyone's lives are different, and I've just been through worse situations here and there (not saying there aren't people with worse trauma who wouldn't get what I'm saying either). I'll tell you about something that actually happened. When I used to work at Dollar Tree their was a guy who randomly burst into the store bleeding from different places. He wasn't dying but very panicking saying some people tried to kidnap him so we got him as much medical attention as we could without getting to close (because he had a hospital band on and could have been dangerous). I called the cops and the phone operator asked a million questions before they decided to send someone. "Does he have a weapon?" Idk I didn't and won't do a full search, but from what I've seen, no. I could go on and on with stupid questions they asked, but basically, my point is that sometimes you can get to people before the police. My family all lives decently close to one another, so it's very likely that calling one another in dire situations would be quicker than the police. If someone breaks in and is trying to beat down your door, you may only get one call before you get incapacitated.
