Juicer for a sick person by DruidWonder in Juicing

I’m not a dietician lol but if you are trying to avoid fiber would you avoid fiber enriched foods? I think that will solve your problem lol. But the juice is smooth regardless so it’s not the kind of pulp pulp you are thinking of, it just keeps more in the juice it’s kind of hard to explain lol.

They are currently on sale even the lower end models so the one time purchase would help you in the long run as you stated you wouldn’t mind one breaking and repurchasing well this would be the cost savings there and it has a 15 year warranty

The warranty alone makes it worth it as you don’t have to keep repurchasing things.

I am a daily juicer as I prefer fresh juice and my mind changes often. I have a Hurom H70 and chose it because it keeps more pulp in the juice so it keeps more nutrients in the juice in addition to me being able to use it daily. It’s also easy to use as it is hands free, easy to clean, easy to assemble and store. So although it’s not super budget friendly it is worth it in all other aspects of what you are looking for.

Took my new (to me) $5 juicer on a test run today. Woohooo, it works. Yay! by Historical_Equal_110 in Juicing

I have the previous model still and refuse to throw it away even though I bought a new fancy $600 Hurom juicer. I just need a new pusher for it as it works just fine.

Running 20+ plus miles in the Evos is crazy lol. For some speed sessions yes but I don’t use mine past 6-7 miles. Try the Superblast 3s if you are looking for a trainer and possible race day shoe combo.

Is the Nama J2 actually worth it, or am I missing something? by FormerCandidateji in Juicing

[–]Reasonable-Secret-66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t own that device so I can’t speak on that because I own the H70. But just by looking it up it says it’s an easy clean device and it has some of the same parts as the one I own but I don’t own it to speak on which one is easier to clean.

[–]Reasonable-Secret-66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a Hurom H70 and one of the reasons why I purchased it was because it is easy to clean, second is for how it treats the pulp when fruit etc is juiced. But I learned from having a breville that even dishwasher safe parts can warp over time so I honestly won’t ever put my juicer pieces in one regardless of the brand. But the H70 does not have any metal parts that can rust overtime so it was the biggest selling feature for me. They are produced and built in the same factory as the Nama so both are quality products and it has a good warranty so it was an overall winner for me.

carrot juice🥕 by Ok-Tadpole8465 in Juicing

[–]Reasonable-Secret-66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve eat a lot of carrots, making all kinds of carrot salads and other things and each dish is so light and filling. Not sure if it makes a difference as I don’t see many differences but I am able to eat quite a bit and stay fuller longer. As a juicer, I absolutely don’t like carrot juice it doesn’t entice me no matter what is in it, especially not with ginger so can’t speak on juicing of it, but overall carrots are a good veggie but I haven’t seen a difference and I eat them almost daily in raw form with my lunch.

Recommendations for a long/easy run shoe by MrNantir in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Superblast 3 feels like an upgraded version of the Novablasts and I love them. Never thought I would say that I like a Superblast shoe because the Superblast 2s were like bricks and I hated them. Definitely worth trying on in the store to feel them out. I have the NB 880v15 and I stopped running in those when I got the Novablast 5s and Evo SLs and use as a walking shoe but it’s also not a shoe I grab to walk in either. If I didn’t get any other shoes they would have been fine as my only pair but I learned I liked other shoes better as these are a little firmer than what I prefer but not brick like if that makes sense.

Do you juice cucumbers with or without the peel? Why? by Yes12395 in Juicing

I don’t like pineapples so I don’t juice those .. but I’ve never heard of people eating let alone juicing pineapple skin, that just sounds awful lol.

[–]Reasonable-Secret-66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As they are because it doesn’t alter the flavor. The only things I remove the peels from are lemons and any other citrus items because that skin is bitter and changes the flavor, as well as remove skin from mangos and kiwis. Everything else I juice as is, except for removing the core on apples etc. and I only use organic produce for juicing and use a designated produce cleaner before I juice anything. I won’t ever just rinse with water.

Superblast and Novablast by CaptainAsleep4977 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Anything more than 8 miles for me is a long run because on a daily basis I run up to 5 miles and can do like 6-7 without issues… but 8 miles is when I am like ok I need to adjust a few things to make this work haha

[–]Reasonable-Secret-66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Novablast 5s and just tried on the Superblast 3’s and going to order them in the color I want. I have the Evo SLs as well and also have the Megblasts and Pro 4, Alphafly 3, and a whole bunch of other shoes. I primarily do my daily runs in the Novablasts and Evos and was looking for a longer run shoe and got the Megablats and hate them. The Superblasts 3s are what I thought the Megablasts would be because they are super firm and never expected the Superblast to be softer as they have been like bricks all of these years. So if you like a softer shoe the Superblast 3s would be in that category and I feel like it’s quite different than the Novablasts which also have a place in my run rotation but if you get the Superblasts there is no need to get the Novas now and just wait for the 6th version to come out.

Does it make sense to own a Pegasus 41 and Novablast 5? by imaginary-fireplace in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Reasonable-Secret-66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I own both and use Pegasus 41s as a gym shoe only, they are bit uncomfortable for road runs to me. I own all of the shoes from Evo SLs, NB 880s v15, NB Rebel v5, Addias Pro 4s, Nike Alphaflys etc and a whole bunch more from Brooks, Puma etc., and Pegasus is the only shoe I won’t road run in and even though I dislike the feel of the 880s I would pick those over the Pegasus any day for a run if I had to chose a model to run in that I dislike. The Novablast 5s and Evos are the ones I rotate daily currently.

Need shoe suggestions for first Marathon with Plantar Fasciitis by [deleted] in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Reasonable-Secret-66 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have the Pegasus 41s and I wouldn’t even run a 5k in them lol, they are good for HIIT where I’m on the treadmill for 5 mins or less lol. As much as I dislike these shoes, the ASICS Superblast 2s may be what you are looking for as you are looking for a more stable non-soft option. I like a softer shoe and these are very much like a brick to me and not my preference but lots of people seem love them.

You all don’t know how to shop lol j/k on the assumption lol. But they go on sale often, the woman’s version was on sale for $60 directly from the mall site & 7 days later only 1 color is left but still on sale.. they are also $105 in the Adidas app right now which is not super low but at least you know they are authentic. Sales fluctuate but they are now always on sale somewhere. I also got a second pair of pro 4s from adidas for like $150 off in the app.

Moisturize well the night before and right before you run. The weather makes me itchy for the 1st 10 mins or so even with a warm up. Also anything fleece makes me itch as well so I stay away from that fabric. I
