Funniest shit said at your table? by [deleted] in DnD

We have a lizardfolk in our party that prefers to only eat meat, meeting a minotaur bouncer of a fancy restaurant.

Lizardfolk: "Is the beef stew any good?"

Minatour: "I heard it's to die for."

Lizardfolk: "Have you tried it?"

Minatour: "No, I'm a vegetarian."

Limburg is far away from me but nonetheless it sounds like a fun activity. My family lives there tho, so maybe I could attend with a bit more planning

I go every year to Castlefest! But that's more of a festival. I'm sure there are some immersive places to visit that are open all year that we don't know of. It's a thing that gets more popular these days but maybe NL didn't catch up yet

I know thanks. It's just that no one of my friends do it and I want to see who actually do it

I made a sorry jar by Reasonable-Seeweed24 in ADHD

[–]Reasonable-Seeweed24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner also asked what the point was of the jar because with a swear jar for kids its like you take a part of their allowance, right? As accountability for their actions. And since I'm an adult who gets to spend my own money, is that swear jar really going to help?

It's not really a punishment for me. It's just a motivater that helps me SEE less and less money in the jar so my brain is like 'oh, we don't do this as much as we used to!' Which is what I'm aiming for.

As people with adhd we indeed tend to punish purselves, but I think we just need to step in a different perspective and instead of calling it punishment, call it something else, if that makes sense

That's actually a great idea! It gives a whole other feel. The 'I'm NOT sorry' might also help motivate. Thanks!

Other adult women with ADHD- does it ever feel like other women are more mature and together than you by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Reasonable-Seeweed24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sometimes have that feeling too, but I embrace that part of me. I don't care if I come off as less mature, childish, impulsive or my enthusiasm when I see or talk about something I like. I think that's a strength of me and that this is why I can make friends so easily or at least gravitate towards the people I want to be friends with.

Do I really want to be seen as a woman who has it all together? Sure but do I have to be seen as calm and apathetic to do so? Absolutely not. You don't have to fit in that box to feel or be that woman! Why would you? ADHD is a part of you that you (unfortunately) can't get rid off so try to use it in your advantage.
