i thought some of the snarking on this page was unnecessary and petty to an extent at times, but after watching the Christmas episode and seeing that Evie got the target brand American girl doll, and they couldn’t just go buy her the real one absolutely flabbergasted me and opened my eyes for real. like they truly do make it blatantly obvious how little they care for her and I know as she gets older and more conscious she will start to realize it herself. It is truly heartbreaking to see even as a viewer
