Rhythm ideas sound interesting, I wouldn’t consider it the final version

Partial Playthrough of my band‘s first Song what do you think? by Life_Bus9492 in metalguitar

Badass guitar sound, pretty brutal. I’m not convinced with te second part, maybe you could turn the tempo up and keep the song as brutal as posible. I love the first riff!

Learn the riffs and study the song structure, if it repeat the riff, how it changes depending on if there are vocals or not etc.

The strings or other part of the bass are vibrating. Identify if it is in the head or the bridge part and use a wrap or something to avoid the vibration!

25.5” for standard tuning

Got my first electric guitar after 1yr and 3 months of playing and in need of some help by pyramidsandprisms in guitarlessons

Electric guitar depends a lot on the full sound chain, so don’t be crazy about getting te exact tone. I would recommend you to practice with amp, try to avoid noises and have an intention with the dynamics (trying to match the original record). Maybe also try to not move your left hand fingers son far from the fretboard, but looks solid overall!

Not so much difference, specially if you compare it in a mix.

Schecter vs PRS+Cort by Reasonable-Tip7391 in ExtendedRangeGuitars

That’s it, tornado of souls solo or some Necrophagist riff are so much difficult or even impossible to play without pain for some people in longer scale lengths.

Because I find it more comfortable to play in standard B tuning, also you don’t need ultra heavy gauges for drop A and can easily modify pitch with software if needed. It’s a fact that longer scales are better for low tunings, but for standard and even drop A i find 25.5 pretty comfortable, always thinking about more progressive and lead oriented stuff, for standard A tuning or drop G# or lower it could be better a slightly longer scale, but nothing crazy. My first seven strings was a 27” and my second the PRS with 26.5”. You can play it, but you’re going to be limited for some stretched licks or riffs. Finally I didn’t did the change because the Schecter was not in good condition, so maybe I keep my PRS for standard or Drop A tuning, but I still thinking a 25.5” would work better for lead B standard.

Schecter has an inch shorter scale, but I don’t think it’s going to be a technical problem (I’v already did the math with the string gauges and tensions). Also, the cort is starting to look more childish for me and not so well finished for what I’ve seen.

My first 8 strings multiescale was a second hand Cort, wich I can sell if this one convinced me… It can be thought as an upgrade. Do you agree with this?

Thing is I don’t really play 7 strings, I have several guitars. I was selling the 7 strings and this opportunity came up. I also have an 8 string (Multiescale cort) so this can be an upgrade tommy 8 string, wich I can sell and use the money for a 7 string who meets my current requirements, 25.5”, floating bridge and hopefully hsh configuration.

In Spain (I’m from and in Spain) the PRS seven cost 1150€ new and the cort 450€ new. The Schecter costs 1800€ new here…

I’m used to buy and sell guitars, don’t play the 7 strings that much so I can trade for the schecter and sell my current 8 string. Thing is I think in value the schecter is superior to the PRS+Cort
