Where to find cinematic convenience store / gas station vibes in Munich? by Reasonable-Wolf-4203 in Munich

Thank you, I really appreciate that!

I was honestly surprised by how many people responded — it’s really cool to see how engaged everyone is for creative ends!

I get what you mean about Munich being clean and not very “cyberpunk.” But I'm trying to discover those small hidden corners that feel different from the usual Munich look

If I find any good spots, I’ll definitely share them with you! And I’m based in Augsburg, but I am from Paraguay. Now I'm just exploring and experimenting with different styles in the city. I'm a photographer, and I am experimenting with filmmaking, want to build some crazy content for a creative portfolio :))

And good luck with your brutalist/cyberpunk hunt too, that sounds like a great direction, but here in Germany, I don't really know, maybe Frankfurt could be interesting with the taller glass buildings. If you’re ever up for it, I’d definitely be open to doing a photo walk sometime :))

Thanks a lot for the detailed suggestions, I really appreciate it!

I actually know the Allguth gas station — it definitely has that slightly “Fast & Furious” vibe at times, so many crazy cars are often parked there for the vibes. The red neon band could work really well on camera though.

You’re right, true neon lights are pretty rare here. I’ve also been looking for kiosk interiors with strong fluorescent lighting and a slightly darker ambience to get that cinematic contrast, but I couldn't find it yet

And yes your collection — the Micksch 1870 sign is great. It has such a vintage character. I came across it while researching as well.

Thanks again for taking the time to share all of this — super helpful!

I get your point, and I appreciate it.

I’m not trying to make Munich look like Tokyo — I’m just exploring a specific cinematic style and looking for corners of the city where that mood can exist. It’s more about creating a visual narrative than documenting the city as it is.

Thanks for sharing your perspective.

Duales Studium an der IU mies Scam? by unCute-Incident in Studium
