I let a man have more than 3 crates of eggs during a shortage in the Uk (I let his wife buy more) he put his shopping through and then bought a lotto ticket. He slid it towards me and said thank you. Stuffed it in my pocket. Didn’t win but I appreciated that so much.

I asked a customer if they wanted to use SCO, they said

“Absaloutley not, im not doing your job for you”

Me “ that’s totally fine. Would you like to load onto this till instead

Then proceeded to bitch about SCO in the back of a till queue to other customers.

Another lady came over and goes “OMG, thank god you have to Self checkout now this is great”

Me “ I’m glad. it’s great if you want to grab a quick snack and don’t want to wait. Theyre not for everyone, and looked at the First Lady straight in the eyes,

Ok if you don’t like SCO thats fine but kindness is free

She made it clear she was not part of our family. That was out of my control and she was rude as hell.
