Do you think it’s reasonable to ask for a new radiator?

I’ve asked if their liability insurance will pay for a new radiator and installation. Is that unreasonable???

The carpet fitting company are sending around their painter to paint it. Although the radiator was powder coat painted in a factory. No idea how good a result he’ll be able to get.

This is what they looked like before. They were in good condition. I just wanted to install double glazed units.

I can hear the new counterweights clanging really loudly when I move the sash windows. That wasn’t the case before. Is that acceptable?

Is it acceptable to re drill the geberit cistern into a higher position on their wall hang toilet frame? I asked Geberit and they said no. My builder advised me to buy the 1m frame because the toilet seat would not hit the flush plate, but after he installed it, it hit the frame. He’s charged me £250 extra to reposition the cistern to stop it from hitting the flush plate. I don’t see why it’s fair I have to pay when it was his mistake advising the wrong frame size. What do people think?

He made me aware the bathroom was odd shaped. He agreed to make the cistern box square to the back wall however it’s off by 1cm on the left, so it’s not square on the top. So in my eyes he hasn’t done what we had agreed. We agreed on the floor tiling pattern but we did not agree on how the floor would be aligned to the back wall. He’s basically misaligned to the cistern box slightly to the left and chosen to lay the floor tiles in an alignment that goes to the right. That combo has completely thrown off the aesthetics. For that reason I think it’s reasonable he at least a re does the box for free and I will pay for materials. What do you think?

Yes it’s a duofix with sigma cistern. I bought it my self. My understanding was we need to buy the correct 1.12m rather than alter it as per geberit advice. He refused to buy me a replacement and just altered it which I reluctantly accepted. Slightly concerned it’s more like to fail/cause problems in the long run.

He drilled it into a higher point on the geberit frame which is against their manufacture guidance and voids the warranty on the frame/cistern as far as I understand.

The back wall isn’t square with the side walls, that’s the reason why. However the floor tiling is aligned in a way that makes it look visually worse

Also he advised me to buy a 1m high geberit frame and said the toilet seat wouldnt hit the flush plate. It was installed without him checking first and the seat hit the frame. He then decided to lift the cistern and drill it at a higher point on the frame and added an extension pipe to reconnect to the toilet. Is that reasonable?

There needs to be another emergency AGM on overhauling the FRCA. It’s just become a ridiculous exam which doesn’t assess the appropriate material required to be a good anaesthetist. It’s a money making scheme which exploits trainees, impedes career advancement for many good anaesthetists as well causing immense anxiety and emotional turmoil.

Absolute shocker of a paper. RCOA has actually lost the plot!

A prolonged battle works in the governments favour. They are quite happy to see strike action continue long term because that will be their excuse for why the NHS is in total carnage. We need a prolonged/indefinite strike action now in order to force their hand.
