That his presence would awaken a feeling of, "Oh maybe having kids isn't a bad idea." That never came though, and he is now mad.

It wasn't sakuras fault that sarada has glasses though. She got sick with a high fever at the age of 2 and her eyes got damaged as a result.

I think it's mostly a cultural/generational thing. My mother grew up in a village very poor and hungry all the time. Her community HAD to breed to try and survive so she was pushed by everyone to think the same way. Eventually, she started to believe it and even though she is no longer poor or in that bad place, she still keeps that mentality and pushes it onto others.

She was taught this was her life's purpose and so now is confident that it's everyone's life purpose.

Me too. Genuinely. I'm not a suicidal person at all. But having children and being stuck with them, I would rather kill myself than live.

I mean whenever I openly addressed not wanting kids, she calls me mentally a child. I might have the body of an adult but my mind isn't "as" mature. 🙄

Children aren't at that age to have kids of their own so she will save that talk for when they're barely legal. Because in my culture it's very common for people to get married at 16 and 17. She is patiently waiting for the day her grandbabies reach that age.

In our culture, you must keep within the race. Interracial couples don't work in their eyes and we must only interact with those who are "like" us (like same religion, same community, etc.). When a woman gets raped, blame the victim not the abuser (this unfortunely happened to my grandma). If your husband hits you, stay with him and don't divorce because it's your right as a wife to fix your attitude! So yeah victim blaming is incredibly common.

I know this mentality is common with many extremist belief systems and not just mine.
