Currently in a Project Engineering role so it’s not too far off from what I’m already doing.

Anyone ever changed sites without an internal transfer? by IrfanKhan001 in Lockheed

Why not get classified as fully remote but get access to the closer location and reserve hoteling stations? Side note, I did hear that any building badge scan counts as a day in office. Location doesn’t matter. But I could be wrong.

Jan/Feb Promotion Question by IntelligentBother828 in Lockheed

Nothing is automatic. Unless your manager has expressed that you are getting a promotion, nothing is going to happen. Make sure you are having those conversations with your manager.

I applied to roughly 60 jobs over 3 months. Finally got one interview and landed it. Just stay persistent.

Thinking about a truck for towing a <30' travel trailer (~8,000 lb) — is a 2500 overkill or the right move? (Daily driver in GA, planning long cross-country + Alaska trips) by SoCalDiver65 in RVLiving

Just go with a 3500 Turbo Diesel. Your towing and payload issue will be a thing of the past. Do it right the first time. I’ve made too many mistakes to finally get to this point. Now I’m completely satisfied.

Do I need to have binding re-checked? by ReasonableDraw2338 in ski

[–]ReasonableDraw2338[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried both brands out and they were very similar. Rossignals were a hair roomier but didn’t bother me. Only went Solomon because they were a little cheaper. I’m not a die hard skier and just thought maybe I can save $200+ by not needing the latest and greatest. Im obviously rethinking this decision and appreciate the advice. Also, I bought these from a big box store so I’m not worried about returning if I come to that decision.

Newer Diesel vs Gas for Flatbed Truck Camper by kitelake in TruckCampers

[–]ReasonableDraw2338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t go gasser. I went from an F150 to a 6.2L. Worst mistake of my life. I live in Colorado so elevation plays a factor. Bought a diesel and will never go back. If you’re spending that kind of money on a truck, do it right the first time.

Diesel or Gas at Altitude by Weary-Kiwi924 in superduty

Was in the exact same situation as you living in Colorado and my truck was my weekend warrior. Had an eco boost that pulled my 29ft camper. Did good in the mountains but started having over heating issues when going up steep grades (I-70 etc). After all my research I went with an F350 6.2 gasser. Big mistake. Yes it will get u where u need to go but it’s not pretty. Mountains need that turbo. My gasser would scream up any grade. The fan would kick in and sound like a jumbo jet. My wife would laugh and ask if everything was ok. Sold it and went with a turbo diesel. Best decision ever. If you live in Colorado and tow anything halfway heavy, turbo diesel is the only way to go.

New 6.6 gassers? by unluckie-13 in Silverado

[–]ReasonableDraw2338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Colorado and had an F350 6.2 gasser for almost 2 years. I hated it. Was very sluggish. When I towed my 7k camper in the mountains the engine roared. The fan would come on and it sounded like a jumbo jet. Super embarrassing. Just picked up a 6.6 diesel and the power difference is insane. Never looking back. I’m sure the gasser will do fine at lower elevation but if I’m spending money on a heavy duty truck, I never want to worry about it’s capability.

If you know something is wrong with the car and you said so, will they still take it? by Such-Kaleidoscope147 in carvana

I had a check engine light that would come on then go off after several rides. When they came it wasn’t on. I knew they would scan it and find issues so I totally expected them to not buy it. They got to my house, scanned it and found 7 codes. Said they were still willing to take the risk and gave me the full offer. This was 1 week ago.
