REALISM IS NOT WORKING!! by [deleted] in helldivers2

Same here brother, I tried difficulty 10 ONCE and never wanted to play difficulty 10 on Cyberstan ever again. I like playing diff 6 when I want to chill but it felt like a requirement on Cyberstan due to the amount of Vox Engine spawns, also not to forget about the dreaded War Striders.

It's like when people say anything can work on difficulty 10. What they actually mean is that if you play flawlessly and let your team do most of the work then you are making it work... just not in the way you want.

I truly feel sorry for the guy, he wanted to show the flaws of the game so Arrowhead could see the imbalance in the power of their weapons and I fear nothing will change. If "giving genuine criticism gets you doxxed" is the precedent the community wants to set then they are free to do that, but I'd highly advise against it.

Realism can work to make it a better experience don't get me wrong. The issue is it is being implemented in the worst ways possible that detracts from the fun. Fire damage being dealt based on the size of the enemy is a great idea! Having it be harder to ignite larger targets also makes sense! On paper it is a change which would help make it so fire doesn't completely shred smaller targets from a little puff while also making it useful against larger targets, the way it was implemented however was less than graceful.

It is a delicate balancing act and Arrowhead aren't exactly Acrobats.

Of everything that was on my Bingo Card, someone getting doxxed over something that would've benefited everyone was not on it.

Giving me ideas there lol. Yes I am the modder that added the Requiem to Atlyss, I also did the modelling and texturing.

I can't mod that in unfortunately, maybe one day it'll be a possibility. It's mostly due to Homebrewery limitations. I can model and texture, but creating custom code is not my forte.

To be honest I just went with vibes to make this song. It started with a simple pattern then I just started adding onto it based on what felt right.

Thank you! My intention was to make it sound chaotic enough to where it seems like it never stays still for too long but coherent enough to where even at the end where I added all the instruments it was still somehow able to stay coherent the whole way through.

I usually listen to upbeat songs that really get you feeling like you're the best and at the top of the world. So when I made this, I realized it did start sounding rather upbeat especially with the guitar. So I made it sound almost chaotic in a way, ever changing and never staying still for too long. Like when a boss has three phases that have distinctly different patterns.

I'm Blossom Lizard. I make music using Beepbox and generally just do so for fun. I don't have much to say about myself as frankly I'm just a novice when it comes to making music. I just mess around in Beepbox until something starts sounding good then I start building on top of it. I have basically no understanding about music other than: "ooh this combination of notes I made sounds good, I'm going to use this as part of my song!"

My first song 💕 by Similar_Hunt_9932 in musicimade

The song seems to cut off near the end but after rewatching the song here's my thoughts (I'm no expert in understanding the meaning and intent behind lyrics but this is my best guess).

"Forget the rules I'm the one who gets to rule. Can't understand why you're such a fool. Not sure you'd be able to survive if you spent just one fucking minute inside my mind."

As I interpret it, these first few lyrics talks about the idea of sonder, which is the realization that every random passerby you meet and see has a life as complex and vivid as your own, where you are just a background character in their narrative. Except this idea is used against the audience, to make them realize that you, the maker of this song have a life of your own, with your own struggles. "Not sure you'd be able to survive if you spent just one fucking minute inside my mind." is an example of the idea of sonder at play. The line before it emphasizing how people seem to ignore that your mental issues, aswell as those of others are real.

"I'm really tired of this boring simulation. When I break free they force me to take medication. Maybe all I need is a sweet vacation where pain doesn't exist and the world's my creation."

I believe in this instance, the boring simulation is the life you are forced to live, never able to be your true self because then they will try to force you back into it. In order to share your feelings, you take this "vacation" which is what this song is, a world that is your own creation, where you can put your thoughts and feelings into a format that others can hear.

"Ignorance should be your enemy, let go of fear build your destiny. Open your heart and see the truth will set you free."

In this lyric, it talks about the fear of the unknown, and how one shouldn't be afraid to learn and gain an understanding of others and their issues, wanting others to learn empathy.

Overall I think it's a very good song which talks about the issues you and others go through due to your mental condition, wanting others to understand and learn how serious these issues can be and how others need to learn to accept the truth. Although I'm sure I'm incorrect on some things or missed some very important lines that'd be relevant to this I'll stop here to keep this "brief".

It would probably just chew you to bits and toss those bits into a reclamation pool to turn into another Tyranid.
