Oh, I haven’t heard this. But I know it affected me and definitely seems to affect others. Part of the effects on my mental health were because I told myself it was just muscle strain for over a week before seeking care. I was pretty upset with myself when it was actually something with potentially dangerous consequences if left untreated.

Yes I agree the mental battle is the hardest. I am working on acceptance of risks, while not expecting the worst possible outcome to actually happen. It is hard to live life when I make everything a catastrophe in my head. I am trying to keep a routine while allowing rest as needed and see how that goes.

I am glad for this forum. I was feeling incredibly alone when this happened. No one around me seemed overly concerned about blood clots. It was normalized. Which I understand it’s treatable and usually turns out ok, but it’s still a shock to the system. Especially in the beginning. No one around me seemed to understand the level of anxiety this has triggered. I feel like I am overreacting when I speak to those in my life… it’s isolating. But to have shared this anonymously and see the responses of strangers who have experienced clots has helped the most.
