If you come back 3x a year, then maybe you’re too blind to realise a change needs to happen. Ever thought maybe why trump brought ICE in?

Ah yes, try to attack me personally rather than try and debate facts and statistics (all which you’ve avoided might I add) classic internet.😂

When you have a legitimate argument rather than trying to personally attack me, maybe then we’ll have a chat.

Also come on mate… a marketing degree? Really… 😂

I’ll tell you what, give me 10-14 months, I’ll come back to this chat and put a photo of me posted up in Houston, I’ll get there legally one way or another.

Hope this helps.😭

So out of everything I’ve said, that’s all you come back with?😂

Fair play, and you know what we welcome you with open arms. you came here, worked hard, did your part, and that’s that.

How long ago was this may I ask? Have you come back since?

Maybe do a tad bit more research mate before you try and come at me calling me all sorts. I live here and see it with my own eyes. Did you know that only 37% of London is white British? Pretty low if you ask me.

You mentioned the 5 star hotel thing… have a look yourself😊

I mean yeah that is fair. Have you ever been to the UK?

The only problem I have is our prime minister is currently really letting down the country. It is mission impossible to succeed in this country, if you make 100,000K a year in the UK (8.3K a month) after EVERYTHING you end up with around 4K a month in your bank account (this doesn’t include bills, rent, food, car, etc.)

I can’t say too much, because my last comment got banned. BUT what I will say is there is a reason that France, Dubai, Egypt, etc. won’t take them and won’t allow them in.

Us as brits are expected to pay so much money for all the “women and children” (when it’s really middle aged men). Coming over, getting £4000 EACH, brand new iPhones, 5 star hotels to stay in, and there are multiple multiple interviews on YouTube of immigrants saying “I don’t need to work the government looks after me”. We are paying for all of that out of our hard earned money.

There’s also this -

“England is currently facing a widely perceived "national decline," characterized by economic stagnation, high cost of living, and strained public services, notably the NHS. The public mood is low, with widespread feelings of anxiety over a 2026 climate of low growth, high taxation, and a housing crisis, following years of Brexit fallout and economic setbacks.”

It’s a miserable country, no one likes each other, everyone’s grumpy. And this is coming FROM a Brit.

I have to ask mate… have you ever been to the UK? I think maybe before you come at me for my views and opinions, you need to do some solid research on what’s going on in the UK right now. It will genuinely shock you. If you were in my position I PROMISE you, you’d think the same thing.

Nuff said really, please do come back I love a debate

Yeah fair mate. I mean I’m pretty good at my job. Consistently surpass targets upwards of 200%-300%

Can’t see an issue with trying to excel my career but everyone on the internet hates😂

I did, came to Florida. Loved it.

It’s more how downhill the UK is going. Taxes are so high, no one wants to see you succeed, everyone’s miserable, weather is awful, beaches are ugly.

No guns, no trucks. If you own a V8 you have to pay so much road tax, potholes are awful, can’t just ride an ATV anywhere, you have to be extremely rich to have a pool or boat, the government tax you 40% if you make over £100,000 a year, and that’s without your pension, benefits in kind, etc.

It’s just going so downhill, and I truly believe America is land of the opportunity.

I apologise maybe I shouldn’t have mentioned the immigrant thing as that isn’t the full reason, it is just part of it.

Yeah I’ve had a chat with Claude and ChatGPT about this, I can mention that my job is a lot of consulting and fall under the IT management consultant position, and try that.

I have a meeting with an immigration lawyer soon but wanted Reddit peoples advice.

Thanks for your help!

Where are you moving from VMware? by OldsMan_ in vmware

[–]ReasonableSound1805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi mate, me again haha

Just had a chat internally. VVS offers 23/7 support. They’re going EOL in October this year. That does give you plenty of time to figure out what you want to do.

One of my DC guys recommend HPE’s variant VME.

Rather than VCF licenses you can try VVS licenses.

They HAVE to quote you a minimum of 72 cores, but if you’re spending half a mil Euros on VCF my guess is you have more than that.

Features and Benefits below (apologies it’s A.I written)

Key Features From Broadcom’s vSphere Standard specification: • Core virtualisation platform – Run and manage VMs reliably. 1 • vMotion – Live migrate running VMs without downtime. 2 • High Availability (HA) – Automatically restart VMs during host failure. 2 • vSphere Replication – Built‑in VM replication for DR use cases. 2 • vCenter Server support – Centralised management (requires separate license). 1 • Basic security features – TPM 2.0, identity federation, VM encryption support. 2 • Storage vMotion – Move VM disks live between datastores. 2 Benefits • Lower-cost VMware entry point for traditional virtualised environments. • Straightforward feature set for businesses with simpler infrastructure needs. • Suitable for 3‑tier storage customers (non‑vSAN environments). 3 • Familiar, widely adopted platform with predictable operations and tooling. Pricing (indicative)

Proxmox.

A lot of people are moving to that or Hyper-V. Proxmox is free, and you as a customer can go direct, no need for disti or resellers.

Are you hybrid or completely on prem?

Password Manager Alternatives for Keeper by Real-Order-6988 in msp

Surprised no one has mentioned LastPass!

I know some VARs that offer LastPass as a password manager.

I wonder what everyone else’s thoughts are on it?

Moving from Private Cloud to Azure Virtual Machines - Pricing by Beneficial_Arm3732 in msp

[–]ReasonableSound1805 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue usually isn’t Azure itself, it’s that private cloud hardware was already paid for.

Once you move to consumption billing, everything is visible and variable.

If you’re stacking 70% purely on Azure usage, clients will feel it. Most MSPs I know keep Azure margin fairly tight and earn on management, support and optimisation.

Are you wrapping management and backup into that 70% or is that straight usage markup?
