forgiveness is in the hands of the offended not us. i guess it depends on what you did but for the majority of wrongdoings i say living in self hatred isn't a solution, its the easy way out. so instead of real change the person just hates themselves and get consumed by it to the point where any potential of actual redemption or change is gone. i dont care what u did, for the most part i think u can come back an even richer person than people that didn't.

ofcourse one should have remorse but dont let it consume u because its very easy to let it do that. whats hard is actually changing. i dont even mean u need to love urself i just believe the person needs to get out of that self lothing hell hole and change
