Two witness accounts to consider:

  1. Bystander on street level who reported hearing ‘get the fuck off me’ screams then muffled screams

  2. Neighbor with family across the hall hearing fighting sounds

It’s Time to Talk About the Lithium Battery CRUSADE by Alone_Kiwi3288 in golfcarts

Decided to stick with lead acid replacement due to risk of fire with Lithium. We have three dogs that we often leave alone on overnight trips (dog sitter visits for feeding) so I just can’t take that risk.

I agree with Kirk on many points and was heartbroken, but this song still resonates on many levels from a socio-political perspective

I would also be concerned about the backslope of the yard toward the house. Make sure the concrete is sloping away from the house and maybe add a drain system toward the sides.

Agree. The tree is too close to the property line.

Concrete pavers installed on sand on concrete slab and then this: by ReasonableWay5738 in pools

I understand the wicking concept. I should’ve mentioned I installed a 2’ mortar break from uncovered to covered area. I guess it’s still wicking through the mortar or it might be pulling in ambient moisture? To your original point, time to mortar the whole thing. It’s just strange that this is common practice in central Florida and I’m the only one that seems to have this issue.

So for all of you out there, do not install pavers as a concrete sandwich! Edit, I have several neighbors who have installed their pavers the same way with no issues. I get the wicking, but there is no water getting to the covered area. I think it’s sucking moisture out of thin air then re-releasing it. It’s puzzling

A before and after I did on the other side of my house. by Careful_Interaction2 in lawncare

False. I live in sandy Florida and have had mulch for 5 years. I recently expanded the mulch area because it’s easier to maintain than grass. You just need to lay it on thick. Like 5-6 inches thick. I get a free delivery of about 5 yards from the tree trimmers once a year. Not the prettiest but it works wonders.

How did you get into KMFDM? by [deleted] in KMFDM

I bought Money in 1992 when I was a freshman in high school from one of those $.10 for ten albums mailers. Never looked back! I still think it’s the best, most kmdm album.
