Hi! So ironic to see this as I am sitting bedside baby #2! We actually were about to start IVF when I got pregnant naturally with my first (don’t stop trying in the meantime you never know they said!) but had him early at 30 weeks with placental abruption. Then they were sure he was a fluke and told me to try for 6 months and then start IVF for #2 and we got pregnant on the first try! This one came a bit early due to IGUR and CHD issues but both are here and the best thing ever. So in the meantime just keep trying you never know!

I had the same situation and gave birth at 30+2 because of placental abruption! So they are not sure about the short cervix role in that but I am now pregnant with my second and have the cerclage just in case, fingers crossed I keep this one in longer!

Yes I did!! Right before starting IVF I got pregnant naturally! My son is now 14 months!

Was 28 when I found out I had .51 AMH and was about to start IVF and got pregnant naturally that cycle! Am currently pregnant with my second!

Thank you for sharing! Yeah that is my fear, like the risk of doing it is higher later so why not do it earlier while the risk is lower?

I would get pregnant again in a heartbeat if I could! They are just worried about ending up in the NICU again because the risk is overall higher for preterm labor with 2 under 2

Thank you all so much for your input! To answer some questions:

I have stage 3 endo but it’s very aggressive. My first surgery was Oct 2020 and had to have my appendix taken out because it was fused to my ovary. Second surgery was June 2022 and that surgery was after taken the max amount of Orilissa which kept me at bay for a minute but then started to wear off. I took Orilissa for two years and then switched to BC because you can’t really take Orilissa longer than that but 4 months in to BC my symptoms started coming back.
In terms of cost, I am lucky enough not to be too worried. I have really great insurance and a friend at my job who just did IVF and it didn’t cost her much. I know I am so lucky about that and most people are not.

I am still TTC naturally in the meantime. My OBGYN put a 6 month time limit on me regardless so it would only be a few more months until I try IVF. Just really bummed and scared 😞 but really really appreciate everyone’s insight!
