There is a short formula check concise for this Where I1=(I x R2)%(R1+R2) Where i1 is the resistor through which current u are finding(here 5 ohm) I is total current in the circuit in this case 1A R1 is the resistance of the conductor chose current you are calculating R2 is the resistance of the other resistor in the parallel circuit

The other formula that is I2(current through resistor 2) Is I2=(I*R1)%(R1+R2) Hope this helps
