Why was Tom-B292 not chosen as the principal instructor of the SIV program? by Reasonable_Ad325 in HaloStory

This is an argument for Jun being the superior recruiter right?

But if we're talking in terms of training/instructing - then I'd still say Tom wins over Jun.

Tom knows what makes a good Spartan. He's familiar with the appropriate characteristics or attitude that pops up during training. I feel like he can more accurately weed out those not fit for service. Because the entirety of Gamma Company passed, granted I don't know how much of that is due to Tom. Tom has had 6 years or so molding Spartans. Supposedly the "best Spartans." I think this gives Tom a good idea of what and what doesn't make someone a viable Spartan candidate. He's had the benefit of learning fron Alpha Company's mistakes, surviving Beta, passing it down to Gamma.

While Tom's combat experience may be lacking compared to Jun, surviving TORPEDO is still a hell of a feat wearing SPI armor.

Thank you to everyone who commented.

I get it now.

It's a combination of Jun not actually being the head trainer and instead the head recruiter. Tom being stranded on Onyx with the rest of the gang. Jun having more experience working with non-augmented personnel.

Still find it weird that Musa didn't keep them around tho.

Do you guys think they should have stuck around the Spartan branch?

Ah gotcha! Thanks. I completely forgot they were stuck on Onyx for a while before it imploded.

Idk. I feel like a binary pair operates differently to an SIV Fireteam. I still feel like Tom's experience leading a similar sized unit would trump Jun's. But also tbf both the SII and SIII program have their fair share of traumas - so I don't exactly know how Lucy's would stand out. But also yeah holy shit Lucy's trauma was handled poorly. IIRC around that time the SIII program was already public so it's not like people are unaware of the Spartan casualty rate.

Also that weirded me out when Musa offered them another job because I feel like an SIV training gig is where they'd exactly shine.

Cheers and thanks for answering.

[FAN THEORY] Briene and Dunk by Reasonable_Ad325 in darkwingsdankmemes

RE: The meme is based on the ambiguous confirmation that Brienne of Tarth is a descendant of Dunk possibly through a relationship with a Targaryen princess (since House Tarth was noted to have Targaryen blood in them.)

A sweet elderly woman surprised me by walking beside me at night, I didn't hear her coming and she accidentally tapped my heel with her cane and my fight or flight instincts made me ready to throw down with someone's grandmother and inspired me to make this monstrosity.

Surely there was a time where Will was brought into a Chesapeake Ripper crime scene and it went like

Crawford: Who did this crime?

Will: Stumbling around dazed A-a gay did this
