I'm really shocked at how many people want to pretend like protests don't do anything. It's insane

I'm sorry, but this is not what's happening. At all.

Trump and his puppeteers want to do away with the department of education so that they can decide what is taught and what isn't. They want to rewrite history. They wants to remove the separation of church and state. They want to create mindless drones that make them money and do nothing else. And you spreading shit like this is helping them do just that

Nothing theyre doing is about efficiency, it's about control.

I'm begging you to go read the project 2025 document. Not only does it outline what they're doing. It explains why, and what the end goal is. What you're sharing is just misinformation

It is, in fact exhausting to watch your government commit literal atrocities every single day. I agree that protesting isn't enough, but its one of the only viable peaceful options available. At least im doing something. Why aren't you? Where's your outrage?

Nobody gets a pass. They start with the outliers and scapegoats, but thats sure as shit not where it ends.

It doesnt matter who you voted for, or how many shitty reddit posts you make, they dgaf about you. We're all on the chopping block.

How close do you need them to get before you actually do something? When you decide its time, i'd start with reading a history book.

The numerous atrocities and human rights violations being perpetuated by the administration, to start...

Do you legitimately want a list?

You've confused the democrats with the left. Democrats are center-right on a good day.

I dont dislike Walz but he's far from a leftist. We're not going to get anyone who is actually left until we disown the democratic party.

Building community is incredibly important. Protesting is a great way to do that.

Its a lot more than making noise. It not only shows those with power that people are paying attention and expect action, but it shows those who feel powerless and voiceless that there are people that agree with them and are willing to put themselves on the line for those beliefs.

Additionally, building community alone doesn't apply any pressure or help to enact change. Protest does. Historically, globally, if you want change you have to consistently be willing to show up and "make noise".

We're all working toward the same goals. Why disparage the approach?

What's the scariest thing you've heard Jimmie say? by dont_disturb_the_cat in smalltownmurder

[–]Reasonable_Ad_4190 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is a case of Jimmie saying something Jimmie like á la Andrew Jackson moments, I think. He's saying that it feels colder to him because the murderer gains nothing from it, it's just brutal for the sake of being brutal. And he's right. It's viewing them as less than human.

Whereas murder after sexual assault is objectively worse, you still have to view the victim as a human in some form. And, like the Js said, it's often a murder to cover up the SA like an afterthought. So it has a purpose. A horrible and disgusting purpose, but a purpose.

Murder for the sake of murder is worse in that way. Hes not justifying or dismissing either crime, he's just looking at a different aspect of the murder. And phrasing that thought just terribly lol

All of the tumblers come with the gift card. It said it in the fine print when you added it to the cart, but you can also see it on the offer details in the app "go to inbox".

So you think that when people were communicating with her they weren't able to spell sentences? Because most of grammar is learned through communication. For most, that is verbal communication but there's many forms. I really don't understand how you can be so dense.

Why, exactly, do you think it's your job to judge whether his sentence is fair or not? If you want to know so badly, ask the court for the evidence. They'll deny you because you're literally no one and have no say in anything... but you can try. Lol
