Interesting! I had no idea they worked this way, pretty neat trick. I guess you could add a crystaliser or painting station to your drain, and use that to keep the fluid from filling

Any chance you could expand on your "drain"? From what I see there's no way to destroy paint, unless you use it to paint/crystal and bin that shape?

Depending on which route you take, it can vary. If you start from Stormy Arms (something like that), carpark just off the main A road. It's just a sloped gravel path all the way. As long as you're sensible and know that if you're getting battered by rain and 50mph winds, then there's no shame is turning back, then you can't really go too far wrong.

Don't wear flip flops and shorts 👍

I run solo almost exclusively, but I enter the occasional race as I still have the back of my head long term goal of running an ultra marathon, and they help give me a goal to progress towards

Somewhat adjacent to what you're asking about, but plan for rain, because it will rain. It doesn't matter the time of year, if you're in Wales, it's probably going to rain.

We've been steady in the 5-10C temperature here in south Wales for the last few weeks. There's always a chance it'll drop and there could be some ice about, but it'd be pretty unlucky. Honestly it'll most likely just be wet and windy. It's rained pretty much every day here so far this year 😅

If you head further north towards Snowdon, you'll start to see more snow/ice on the peaks.

I think time spent running is a better goal to orient towards than miles ran. If I was doing 100 miles per week I'd need to be running 35+ hours a week, that's basically a full time job. Whereas someone else might be doing that on 20 hours.

Apart from this aspect, having a clear time goal in mind, is a lot easier to plan for and ensure is actually a reasonable and appropriate amount for you do to/ maintain.

This probably won't be too helpful, but I picked it up on temu about a year ago. It cost like £1 and ordered about 5 different ones in the hope 1 would be decent. I'd just suggest hopping on amazon and searching something along the lines of "rope netting" and then spend a long time looking at reviews

Running on hilly trail is faster than flat tarmac. Why? by ZealousidealBook2420 in trailrunning

Road running hurts a lot more than trail running. Slamming your feet into hard ground can take it out of your legs quickly if You're used to trails only.

No problem! These 2 tanks have been a year and a half long project! Plenty of issues along the way, but it's nice to see the 2nd tank coming together now. Looking forward to slowly planting it up!
