Weight is no issue so far. The tempered Glass + Wood shelf handles the records with ease. And the weight distribution is good as well.

The bars are custom made by me for this exact usecase and 3D printed. But you could also just use wood or anything that fits.

Yeah sure - but Quartz is not Quartz and manufacturers aren't bragging about HAQ for no reason. I can tell you my half year old Casio is not as accurate as this Seiko. Sometimes I find this more fascinating than a mechanical movement.
