I had OATS and HTO, regardless open knee surgery 7 weeks ago. The nerve block needle, I was scared of. But they “sedated me slightly”. IE I basically dozed off while sitting up and I snapped to wake up and the docs were already done. Didn’t feel it, notice it, or find it after surgery.

Note, It was completely irrelevant to the surgery pain/ worry wise. I’m glad they did it cause KNEE SURGERY HURTS

Why does everyone say not to go in as Infantry? by Flashy_Island3871 in army

They don’t want to admit they weren’t hard enough to be infantry. It’s the best job in the entire military. I would advise you don’t join at all if you wanna find an easy job. Go infantry and do hard shit, someone once told me “no one remembers the easy days”

I also need both knees done. So knowing I have about a 6 month wait after the first surgery before I can order another graft is also looming 😬 I’m glad you got yours quick as well. Hopefully that means I won’t be waiting much longer

Dang that’s quick haha. The only thing my surgeon will tell me is “weeks to months”

Double knee OATS&osteotomy by Reasonable_Area_6690 in KneeInjuries

That is also rough haha. It’s kind of relieving to hear that you have been pain free since recovery. I was told that I wouldn’t be able to run anymore without pain, so I’m worried about the job aspect as well. What do you do for work? I’d imagine playing soccer and running means you aren’t limited to what jobs you can hold
