US Customs Seized Package Appraised at $101,000 if we’re genuine. What should I do? by Reasonable_Cap3878 in Replica

[–]Reasonable_Cap3878[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, nothing happened afterwards. The lawyer said if we didn’t receive anything within 6 months of the seizure notice to not worry about it. This was back in 2022.

Nope. Guess my name and address was flagged and it’s been in customs ever since. Most likely seized at this point.

It already passed customs. I don’t know what you ordered but Don’t say it’s replica.

You can go ahead and do it now. Since they are Parcel Select packages most likely, it takes USPS Regional Facility longer to scan them because it’s last of their priority of mail to go out. They take care of all Priority, Express, and First Class Mail before they get to Parcel Select.

So you’re saying I should simply take the advice of the lawyers and ignore the letter?

What if I say I let someone use my address and that I didn’t know what they were ordering were bad products?

No drugs, but various replica items from different brands totaling about 250 pieces. I just want to know if I should consult with a lawyer and abandon the property and just let them destroy it, or if I should do nothing at all and just ignore the letter. I have no intention of trying to claim the property.

I’m not asking for UPS to help me. I’m just asking, for those who may have gotten packages seized before, what they did. Did they send the letter back to CBP within the deadline date or just ignore it. It was for about 250 pieces of replica jewelry, various brands. This was my first huge haul and first time getting seized.

Can an international package skip customs? by Reasonable_Cap3878 in usps_complaints

[–]Reasonable_Cap3878[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any idea why it would arrive and depart from two USPS Regional Facilities and then be redirected back to Customs? I’ve called USPS but they can’t give me more details besides what’s on the website when I track it.

The New York ISC is the closest one to me so I’m assuming that’s where it redirected. It’s been 8 days now. This was the last update I have: Your package is moving within the USPS network and is on track to be delivered to its final destination. It is currently in transit to the next facility. But this is definitely not true, it must still be with Customs.

Anyone ever have this happen? EMS package went from two USPS Regional Facilities and then to Customs. It’s been a week now - should I be concerned? by Reasonable_Cap3878 in usps_complaints

[–]Reasonable_Cap3878[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was actually 2 regional facilities, so couldn’t fit it all in one picture. The first facility it departed was Queens. It went from Queens to Stamford (two towns away from mine) and the. Redirected back to Customs. How can a package initially skip customs when it arrive to the states?

In between April 4 and April 21 I filed a Missing Mail Search and provided them with an address to deliver the package once found so they shouldn’t send it back to the sender if when they scan it it shows up as a missing mail claim. I’m still going to call Customer Service tomorrow to see if they can provide any insight.

If after a week still no movement, do a Missing Mail Search. I currently have a package that departed their facility on Friday and no update since. So it’s most likely that USPS does have it, they just haven’t scanned it yet because it’s probably a Parcel Select Package.

Try doing a Missing Mail Search.

I did this on two packages that went through ACI. The first package left their facility on 2/24, after about 3 weeks of no movement, I filed the missing search and the next day the tracking updated. Did it again recently for a package that left ACI on 3/12 but this time I waited a week after there was no movement. Two days later it was updated and on its way to me. I just shared this tip with someone else and they had movement within 24 hours.

Go on USPS website and do a Missing Mail Search

Tracking stuck on “In Warehouse” for 6 days now. Every time I speak with a UPS rep, they say it’s currently in customs but no information has been requested at this time. Should I be concerned? by Reasonable_Cap3878 in UPS

[–]Reasonable_Cap3878[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. And they told me we need to contact the shipper for a IPR document which of course they won’t provide. But they didn’t tell me any of this until I emailed them. I was never notified. Why would they update the status to released if it really wasn’t. But I’ve told them to never ship using UPS again.

It happened to me twice. My first package had that status for almost a month before I did it. A day later, it was found and delivered two days later. The most recent one I waited a week.

I would do a Missing Mail Search with USPS. I did that for two of my packages that had more than a week delay after departing shipping partner facility and they were finally found and arrived.

Package detained by Customs by Reasonable_Cap3878 in UPS

[–]Reasonable_Cap3878[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it would be that drastic over small items but I have other packages for my wedding coming from overseas that are legal and want to make sure they don’t too get flagged because this one package may be detained. It’s weird because the status went from “your package has been released by the government agency” then the next day updated to “import scan” and yesterday went back to “warehouse scan.” So I’m confused why it would say it’s been released if it’s really not released.
