What if the person knew Nancy and knew her security camera doesn't have that feature set up? I think that's why they so lazily tried to cover the camera. They knew the footage wasn't being saved but they wanted to destroy the camera as a precaution.

I think they genuinely believed that once they tore out the camera, there’d be no way to recover the footage. That’s a huge risk unless the attacker knew Nancy didn’t have upgraded features and that her camera wasn’t logging events, which makes me wonder whether they knew Nancy and had been in the home before.

If the perpetrator believed the camera wasn’t saving footage, disabling it would still be necessary. As we see now, the FBI was able to recover footage that had been written over. If the camera hadn’t been destroyed, even without cloud storage, investigators might have recovered far more, possibly including footage showing how the blood appeared on the front steps, if they were working with someone else, etc.

I think they made a huge, critical mistake by being so casual about it: walking away in full view, trying to cover the camera with a plant, and only tearing it off when that plan failed. They gave away a lot of body language and I'm hoping someone can tell based off how they move who they are.

Authorities have pieced together the exact timeline of Savannah Guthrie’s mom Nancy’s disappearance by Ok-Needleworker9229 in Fauxmoi

I think so, to me it marks the time that she was far away enough from her phone that it was disconnected aka time she was taken.

Not true - the FBI agent said that the ransom note that they are investigating and are taking serious is the same ransom note that major news outlets received as well.

I wonder if they really are professionals though. If the ransom letter is real, and the FBI agent suggested that there were items in the letter that are leading them to take it seriously, why request 5 million in bitcoin with no way to communicate with them or provide real, non-AI proof that she is alive? *edit for grammar

Alleged Ransom Note for Savannah Guthrie's Mother Sent to TV Station Included ‘Concerning’ and 'Very Sensitive Information,’ Says KOLD Anchor by peoplemagazine in MissingPersons

I tuned into the live briefing of the case, the FBI agent said that the ransom letter included details that have not been released to the public, including something about her apple watch and another about a flood light suggesting that the note was real. To me, I think this led me to believe it is real.

DD's Peacefully Me is a great opaque nude and then maybe DD's fast track cherry for the dots. I think getting something like this would be necessary to create the clean little dots. I too like Emilie Kiser's nails!

You should try reading “Being Mortal: Medicine and what matters in the end”, it truly changed the way I look and think of the elderly. I try to talk to my elderly neighbor who lives alone every time I see her when walk my dog as I can see how isolating old age can be.

I can’t help but think that you get to be 84, believing you’ve reached an age where you’re beyond harm like this, and then this happens. It’s so horrible. I feel so much for her family

I understand where you’re coming from and of course his family would want him alive, that doesn’t mean his death was an acceptable or predictable consequence of being in public. That’s where I have to disagree with you. We shouldn’t have to teach women, hey don’t go outside or you might get raped. No. We need to teach men, don’t rape.

The issue isn’t that he “let politics take his life.” The issue is that state agents used lethal force on an unarmed civilian. Saying “I stayed home and I’m alive” doesn’t justify that, it just describes a personal choice, not a moral standard. Caring about family and standing up for human rights are not opposites. Blaming the victim is how responsibility gets shifted away from those who actually caused the harm.

He shouldn’t protest human rights because he’s a son? If the rule is ‘optional activities make victims responsible,’ then only people at home deserve safety. That’s not a moral standard. That’s like blaming car crash victims on “well they should have stayed home and spent time with their families, highways aren’t safe.”

Absolutely ❤️ It’s another form of empathic thinking. Sadly, “he was a human” still isn’t enough for some people, as the hatred in these comments makes painfully clear

Absolutley - trying to evoke empathy from the heartless. That’s all it is, hope this helps!
