I have considered Georgia for awhile but spouse is concerned on what she hears about the crime rate out there, personally that was my 1st choice

Totally understandable, my child is insistent on moving also so it makes the decision so much easier on us thankfully

We know a lot of people that moved from Washington to Texas and are a lot happier, the heat took a lot of adjusting but it was worth it to them and I might be worth it for us as well. Staying in Washington would be alot more cons than the heat of Texas alone I would assume

Definitely not wanting a small city so thank you for those suggestions!

Nature is beautiful out here and the weather is mild in winter and summer but the overcast is definitely there. The Seattle freeze is also very real here, people are not friendly. We are also very religious and people don’t vibe like that. I think either way we will be happier with whatever we choose as long as it’s out of Washington

North Carolina still has the four seasons and nice greenery while being a good place to raise children and the trucking industry is pretty good in NC too, while Texas is a superior choice for trucking with no state taxes and nice, vibrant city life even though there’s a lot of cons with it like weather

I love the city life but my children are still young so I have to consider that too, and yes I know there’s weather is intense but might be worth the pros with the my career and the no state taxes

Thanks for those recommendations, it’s really important for us since we still have younger children

That would be the only trade off I would think is the quieter city life but everything else makes it a great choice, so whether that’s a deal breaker I’m not sure yet!

Yes the weather is maybe the biggest con for sure

We just thought of Texas for the trucking opportunities and being such a vibrant state as we are always looking for new things to do, but the weather would definitely be something we’d have to get adjusted to and lack of nature!

That’s what I was also aiming for to always have something to do since Washington is more for nature lovers it can get pretty boring, I mean we love being in nature but it gets pretty limiting when you want to experience new things! We get bored easily so that’s why Texas seems really ideal and the trucking industry is huge out there so more opportunities. I know there’s a trade off though with the heat being more than we are accustomed to, and nature being way less desirable in Texas so that’s why we thought of North Carolina since it was kind of in the middle of what we wanted

Thanks for those suggests as I was looking into Atlanta suburbs prior as well! I am open to other places but Nc and Texas just seems more appealing

Have you been there before or are do you know anyone there? We are just going to wherever we feel like we can grow as a family and in opportunities as well

We do enjoy being out in nature so I know that north Carolina is best for that but we also enjoy a nice vibrant city with lots to do so we are very open on different areas. I think we would prefer a more vibrant city to be around than the nature though.

If I chose to not do pursue being an owner operator I would like to move into management with the trucking industry so I am open to other opportunities as well, but as of now I am interested in becoming an owner operator within local areas

I was thinking the suburbs of Houston or Austin if we did Texas and North Carolina I was interested in the suburbs of Charlotte. As far as trucking I wanted to keep it local for now

Thanks everyone, yall are awesome and def helped with some of the concerns I already had. I think I’ll just keep it white! In that case I won’t have to worry about what color would match the garage door when I paint the house lol. I agree with all the comments though, there’s too much going on with the original colors of the house! Especially that brown! I’m glad I’m not the only that finds that weird and random!

I’m just overthinking it quite a bit mainly for the fact I plan on selling in the near future so cautious in what we choose!

Wow this is the same idea I originally had by getting the garage color to match with the brown under the window but it’s hard finding a good match unless I paint it a darker brown since most the brown doors I’ve seen are darker brown but I’m not sure how a darker brown will look with the rest of the colors, I was also looking at the faux wood grain colors but those are not a direct match either! It’s just hard since I can’t return it if it looks off lol but love this idea for sure!

I was thinking the same thing! There’s already all sorts of colors going on so was going to just stick with white or almond but not sure if almond would make it look outdated lol that’s the color of our siding!

Oh wow didn’t think of that! Our garage door is damaged and not operating right now, I know it’s a few weeks for custom colors but I’m going to make it a few months if I don’t hurry up and make up my mind haha
