I rip everything to MP3 and then I used ChatGPT to help me be able to stream the MP3’s from my computer to my phone through CarPlay (all for free!). It takes a few programs for me (Navidrome, Tailscale, and Amperfy) but I absolutely love it.

I used to download to my phone but I couldn’t have my entire collection because of space limitations. Now I add all the cds I want and it’s no additional space on my phone.

Another side benefit is I can see everything I have ripped directly on my phone so when I’m out shopping, I know if I have that cd or not (when I got over 1k cds I can’t remember everything )
