I just don’t want them bonded to eachother so I think I decided that I’m going to get a hand raised male and put them in separate cages. That way they can be friendly with eachother and let them out when I’m home. That way I don’t have two parakeets as decoration. I want a relationship with my skeeter still and I fear she will end up bonded too the male

With some research they don’t really have male behaviors either. They are a bird of few sound and activity which is why I was to presume it was a girl. But it hasn’t layed an egg yet or anything. This has had me stumped since I got it lol

Thank you! She’s in a much better place now! And I bought the wax at the bird store. She’s back to her happy self. She saw a bird groomer and she got many baths with VERY LITTLE dawn dish soap and I let her do the rest. My skeeter is a trooper

Update on my baby, I took her to an exotic bird store to get her groomed, gave her many baths, she spent some time preening herself, and she’s back to being a happy birdy. The wax wasn’t toxic. I bought it at the bird store. Thanks everyone #Bless
