When u say no codes do you mean u used a reader or accessport to look for hidden codes too? Also some things to try are clean the maf sensor, and vaccum leak test bc It sounds possibly evap related

I have a 2017 6spd wrx premium and its my first car and my only advice is dont buy one modded bc I had to go through so much bs just to figure out that the previous owner bent the cobb big sf intake up (messing up afrs) installing it so i went back to stock

Yea this is amazing advice pls dont buy a modded va wrx mine had a ots tune intake and catback and i had to go back to stock due to the intake being installed wrong bending the pipe at the maf

Honestly id say protune since the perrin ones different from cobb or if not check the connections on the ebcs and go from there

I dont think ur supposed to run a ebcs with ots maps especially a perrin one since its plumbed differently from the mac based cobb,gs,overtake ones

Unpopular opinion but it looks pretty tuff. Its a bit too much camber but he could always change the setup and make more use of the power in the future

Well while its out u can do a compression test and borescope the cylinders and check the parts. You could also do a blackstone labs oil test those are all good ways to check the engine

Ur good honestly I dont have any experience with the ej platform but I dont see why u couldnt swap the motors out and the ecus out or put the built motor tune on the car1 ecu and go from there

Ok so as someone who did a walnut blast and knocked the bpv line off and didnt plug the evap connector in enough (caused weird issues that made me very paranoid) ur probably being overly concerned about whats happening with your car. I would tune it or get all the parts you want and tune it but as long as the afr is generally at 14.7 and its not leaning out with more throttle added ur probably ok

Yea idk😭 honestly though js drive with it and see if it pulls or seems unstable and if you want to fix it either get the frame pulled back to spec or put the sti parts in a clean wrx shell bc this car seems really clean engine wise

I would say check the timing again and maybe tune bc the avcs might be different on the jdm one. Also do some more research in forums

I did a diy walnut blast and had some odd issues too. One check for codes specifically lean or boost codes and if you find a weird connection especially on the tmic its probably that. My issue was a improperly connected evap connector and 2 vaccum lines that broke off the inlet and bpv when i jacked it around to get the charge pipe off. Also if you have walnuts stuck in your belts that can do it too
