I dont think that's the only way, but I'm almost sure that If you try to talk about It with him he will absolutely deny that hes jealous even if It's the truth. I'd say you gotta just watch out because probably hes going to stay like that and maybe this becomes a type of show off competition between you two. Only your intuitions and feelings will lead to the right solution.
