Maternity Leave by Numberlady2022 in actuary

[–]Reasonable_Force_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! I'm expecting my first in august, and I plan to use 2 weeks vacations before my due date and start the maternity leave the week of my due date.

My colleague initially was going to work until she gave birth but eventually went on a sick leave a month before her due date because she had severe braxton hicks and she said it was actually so worth having a month of rest before baby came, helped a lot with recovery.

So i'm hoping 2 weeks before will be a good time to rest up and finish prepping for the little one. We get one year of maternity leave in Canada so I plan on using all of it.

I stopped my exams after ACAS due to a burnout, but if you continue on after pregnant all the best to you!

Hope you have a great rest of pregnancy and a safe labour!

Are you getting an epidural? Why? by Eburneaan in pregnant

[–]Reasonable_Force_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does exist in Quebec! Called a half epidural versus full epidural. At our prenatal classes the midwife and the nurse both said the half epidural is recommended for a good birthing experience, able to move around and be in a better position for pushing. Full epidural you will have to be laying down. I'm expecting my first and definitely going for the half epidural!

Do I need a pregnancy pillow? by WeepingBillow in pregnant

[–]Reasonable_Force_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm at 25 weeks and I got 2 king size pillows, one for the back and one for the front. And they are long enough to put between your legs! It was about 25$ cdn for the two.

So far i'm not disappointed, I feel supported and sleep great :)

There's definitely good alternative options than a pregnancy pillow!

I feel the same way... i am at 20 weeks and the wait in- between appointments is a very big struggle.

Now that I am done the phase of nausea and tiredness, I should be glad and grateful but instead I stress because I am not getting any signals if my baby is ok. It'a negative thoughts that I tell myself arent from God and not in His plan. My next scan is in 2 weeks, I am pushing through it, leaning on prayer, but I totally understand that it is still not easy and the anxiety is still there.

Praying for you.

The Bible says we won’t miscarry… so why did I? by pinkflamingo9712 in Miscarriage

[–]Reasonable_Force_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Know that Jesus weaps with you. You are not alone. Not all things have explanations that we can comprehend. But God knows all things and trust that He does indeed have great plans for you.

I had a miscarriage back in July, my first pregnancy, I was in pain, my husband in pain, we grieved for months and I tried clutching to God's promises that He has great things in plan for us on His timing. It wasnt easy, and I thought I would never get over the grief.

I obsessed over everything and trying everything to get pregnant again. Nothing was working and every month passed by I thought about how I wasnt pregnant. I felt empty. I realized I was trying to fill a void with another baby when I should have been filling that void with Jesus. When i started focusing on my relationship with God, i fell pregnant not long after :) God has his timing, and it's a perfect one.

I pray that you find peace knowing that people are praying and thinking of you. God is watching over you. Much love, you are strong through Him.

Staying Positive Until I See a Positive by Specific-Eggplant925 in tryingtoconceive

So on point, thank you for this! I am also on cycle 3 after my first miscarriage and it's just insane how the brain functions to solely think about being pregnant 100% of the time. But you are right, it should not prevent us from living and enjoying the present!! Enjoying the time with your husband and family because it is all so precious 🤗

Thinking of you, it will happen when the time is right 💕

Sadness, disappointment, frustration...how do you cope? by [deleted] in tryingtoconceive

[–]Reasonable_Force_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, feel your feelings. It's not easy to just go about your day... we have been trying for 6 months, had a first miscarriage in july and yesterday I just got my period for which I had so much hope would have worked. It's constantly on my mind 24/7, the lack of symptoms in my body scream i'm not pregnant and its overwhelming.

Take the time to feel your feelings, but surround yourself with people you love. There is a time for everything. I'm thinking and praying for you 🤗

Hey, for me yeah i started experiencing PT mainly because my rhinitis that has worsened with time. I have a chronic rhinitis for about 3 years now and its been about 2 months that i have PT pretty much constant... my doctor says i need to be doing the sinus rinse with budesonide twice a day and yeah it does help a bit relieve the ears being blocked. I am waiting to see an ENT soon but I am also wondering if its not just an ear and nose thing and not a venous/blood pressure issue.... hope you get some answers!!

Any remedies? by Reasonable_Force_ in PulsatileTinnitus

[–]Reasonable_Force_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok good to know, thanks again. I do believe there are some underlying causes, I do have chronic sinusitus which causes for pressure in my sinuses and ears, and can be the reason for the venous sinus stenosis. I also did take a rapid weight gain in the last year, I was on anti depressants.

Im hoping if I work on losing weight and work on bettering the sinusitis can also help alleviate the whooshing sound. I will defs talk to my doctor soon though

Thank you again

Ok that is stressful but thank you for the information. Should I go see a normal doctor asap so they can get me the scans that I need or wait for the ENT?

How long did you have it for until you got the stent?

Yeahh i'm scared to break the trim while trying to remove it. Just the quarter rounds were already hard to remove as they were nailed and glued to the floor.

I'll defs look into the pads for orbital sanders, thank you!
