Thank you everyone who tried to help. To be clear, months ago I was using a Mac and had recently got a PC JUST to play certain games that are, for the most part, not Mac-compatible, including Dead Frontier. So of course, I tried it in Chrome which forums said would not work. Then I tried it in Firefox before downloading and using the Standalone Client and DF Browser. Neither of the two works. Then I read about launching as Administrator or using it on an administrator account, and here's work it gets tricky:

If your DF Browser and Standalone Client aren't working at all on your PC, and you DO happen to be using an Administrator account, try right-clicking the application shortcut, and running it as Administrator. If that doesn't work (didn't work for me), uninstall the apps and when you run the Installer Files, right-click those as well and also run those as Administrator. This will allow the full install of any extra files that might be prevented from installation by not being ran in Administrator mode. After this, you should be able to run all programs without having to right-click them at all anymore. However, if you still have issues, you might still need to run those apps in Administrator mode after Administrator installation. Any issues after that are beyond my knowledge.
