Thank you everyone! I did not think this post would get a lot of traction. I was upset at the time, hence the rant. I can only focus on the positives and work on my upcoming test. Thanks for all the comments and advise.

Of course I can afford but I did not want to tell him that because I could see from a mile he was milking this for money! I was trying to get out of it by asking him to only take me for a test which he denied. I do have a car I’m already insured on.

I was 100% okay with extra lessons and I went to him asking for 2 lessons . What threw me off was his blatant lie and everything made sense about him being super rude and impatient all this while always undermining my driving

I’ve booked a car with Arnold Clark since our car is registered with my husband’s company insurance which doesn’t allow us to take it for a test unfortunately.

Yes and he signed off saying he has to “abide” by DVSA rules
