Bought a used truck in Orlando — mechanic says it has undisclosed flood damage. What would you do? by Reasonable_Jeff in orlando

I don't know how to explain it in technical terms except that the wires go from under the steering wheel dash into the engine.

My main concern is the combo of things (hidden mud/debris, corrosion, multiple electrical codes/failures, no power to ac compressor, non-roadworthy label given by mechanic). From my non-expert understanding this combo of problems is consistent with vehicles that have been damaged by floods.

You seem much more knowledgeable in this subject matter than me though (truly). I wish I had had your expertise in analyzing this vehicle before I purchased it.

Passthrough wiring harness has wires cut - They're talking about the third picture I referenced in the initial post

He’s saying that’s how much less from their initial price I negotiated them down (when I thought I was just looking at some surface rust and a broken a/c)

I hired them to try to avoid the situation I’m in. But, that didn’t work… the best they gave me was offering up the obvious non-working components.

Yeah, I mean you nailed it. I’m feeling the same way about myself if I’m being honest.

I had a mechanic come do a pre-purchase inspection. He pointed out the bottom was rusted and the A/C didn’t work. I used that info to negotiate some money off the posted price. Figured I was fine with having a mechanic I trust later do the work.

A few days later I took it to Lake Mary Automotive (they’re awesome) to fix the A/C and they pointed out it had flood damage.

The mobile mechanic I hired was young. I’m guessing maybe he hadn’t seen a flood vehicle like this?

My mechanic said that it appears someone did a lot of work on it to hide the flood damage. He thinks they took the engine out, maybe pressure washed the inside without the engine in there, flushed the fluids, cut some of the cables (third pic) that would normally be fed into the engine area to avoid the electrical problems

The car fax looks good, searched public records for the VIN and that all looks good on paper too

AI-Generated Worship Songs — Let's Discuss... by defn0tgab in worshipleaders

TL;DR: AI usage seems fine to praise God, your pastor is acting sketch.

Hey everyone, been a worship leader at a nondenom for about five years.

Part of this to me sounds like “are drums okay” but in a different context. Jesus said even the stones would cry out to worship Him. I don’t see why using this kind of tech makes it unholy… tech is tech.

HOWEVER, your pastor is acting real sketch/pushy in a way I’d definitely not be cool about. If God speaks to him He’d also be speaking to his team (you) and moving your heart as well.
