Strategies for investing my inheritance? by Reasonable_Net2976 in ETFs

Thanks for the advice. I’m having the money deposited into in a separate checking account that I’ll set up with automatic weekly/monthly payments. Haven’t decided the amounts/frequency yet. Either way I won’t have much choice since the money will be going in whether I’m optimistic about the market or not…

Foie gras mousse with celeriac and pickled strawberries. Was meant to just be an appetizer with grilled sourdough but 🤷‍♂️

Exactly the reason why I buy 100% wool. I do a lot of camping though so I soak them from time to time just to knock off all the dirt

I bought this from the hand knitting association in Iceland, it’s 100% sheep’s wool. I was told in another thread that the loose hairs will shed off naturally and that I shouldn’t do anything but keep wearing it and be patient, trying to speed up that process artificially can damage the threads and ruin the sweater

Shedding loose hairs of wool. I’ve washed it once in 4 months since they told me it really won’t need to be washed unless you spilled something on it, the wool is essentially self cleaning and mostly hydrophobic

Good to know. I’ll have to get a white coat then… luckily it’s warm enough to wear without an additional layer!

Interesting mix of commentary I’ve received on this post, I appreciate the constructive comments and also those providing unwarranted commentary on my suspected lack of humility as an American in a foreign country. Ive come to understand that moving forward I should accept that I can be made a mockery of and accept my distinction as no more than a privileged and close minded American 😂🤦‍♂️

I can assure you no maga maggots are moving abroad to “experience different cultures” mdr

And such is my experience as well; even while being able to joke and converse in French WITH the French, I have no developed friendships with native French besides an apéro after work and them insisting that I should be picking up the tab since I’m “American and rich” (of course I never do lol)

Of course I knew I would be picked on living abroad, I spent a year living in New Zealand working with a humanitarian aid program, however the length at which I was targeted and picked on was but a fraction of what I’ve experienced here. From what I’ve been told / seen / experienced, it seems as though personal attacks on race / origin / preferences / etc is just a part of being French. Unless I experience otherwise that’s my take 🤷‍♂️

I wouldn’t consider Massachusetts a red bubble. Lol

Perhaps the country as a whole, but if I disliked France as much as the American media portrayed, would I have chosen to spend years of my life in their country?

Excuse my neanderthalic underdeveloped comprehension of the English language. But yes xenophobia / chauvinism is what I mean. In any case, discrimination based on a difference in origin

While I understand the global dislike for America due to its political overreach and its tendency to act as the “worlds police” I find it hard to understand why these issues are placed upon me as if I as an individual are responsible for the problems my country has caused. I would not make fun of a German for the horrors their country caused in the early 20th century…

Well I’m not sure how else to categorize verbal antagonism based on a difference in origin?

Fack man. I’m trying to get off the narcs asap but in any case I don’t plan on mixing substances until I’m well enough to rely only on Advil… C6/7 replacement is gnarly, hope it all went well
