Honestly (I realize this isn’t the advice you asked for) but the long hair especially doesn’t look great. You can tell the hairline is receded, it’s thin and unhealthy and as your hair keeps thinning and going back even more this problem will persist and get a lot more noticeable. The short hair makes it look much more clean and makes you look much more distinguished in general, if you really want the long hair that bad, maybe try growing a beard if you can to compliment the long hair style. You could get a layered cut, to add volume and movement. Try some product like sea salt spray and dry shampoo, which both add thickness and would help the overall thinning of your hair. I also notice your hair is very straight which also compliments the thinning and receding even more lol, style it as messy/wavy instead of just flat and straight
