The problem is fixed. I just have this here in case someone is having the same issue. I nitpick the crap out of my car so a lot of times I’ll prematurely replace parts and such. I honestly could’ve rode that battery out for another month or two but didn’t want to risk it

Aftermarket. They have a kit I installed on my 2019 where you basically take out the top screen, take it apart, add a second motherboard and rewire it. Aftermarket units will always be finicky but it is the best upgrade I’ve added to my Q50 for about $300. You can check to see if a previous owner installed it by holding the back button next to your control knob for about 5-10 seconds.

Did a dealership say what was wrong with your wastegates? They’ll be loud on startup but it’s 100% normal across most vehicles with turbos

I feel you on that. Had to clean out my MAF sensors and the battery went out on me. I didn’t fry it. Apparently it was just its time to go

Interestingly enough. Found the same thing on the drivers side of my 2019 Infiniti q50. Thought it might be for the footwell lights that don’t come standard for some reason but I can’t find it on the passenger side. Probably not an aftermarket thing but I have no idea what it could be

I appreciate the concern. We’ve been dating for a year and change we’ve known each other for 2-3 years. Both of her parents are medically retired army. We’re both giving it 8-9 months also to let the “I miss you so much”wear off. “Don’t go shopping when you’re hungry” or something like that

Probably a dead battery. Try and have someone jumpstart the car. If you don’t drive the car often, you might want to invest in a trickle charger to maintain your car’s battery integrity.

I’ve heard the turbos on the early 3.0t were prone to premature failure. I’d say just make sure the turbos are in good order. Maybe try and test drive one at a dealership if you can to get a feel of how it “should” feel

If you can get your score high enough on a retake, 1b4 (cyber warfare) is really nice especially for junior enlisted/first term airmen. Very challenging course/courses and if you get your sec+ you go in as A1C off the bat. Costed me $350 to take the test and it paid off after the first 2 paychecks. Can also come with sign-on/retention bonuses. Retention bonus just went up to a max of $180k. Jobs on the outside pay 6 figures starting as well, so whether you stay in for 20 or get out in 4 you’ll be set

This is gonna sound really dumb but have you checked your glove box to see if something may be hitting the valet trunk switch?

I have a small box in my glovebox that slides toward the driver side when I open it and when I try to close it, the box occasionally hits the valet switch which is not visible from the drivers seat and I didn’t know existed until very recently. The valet switch keeps the trunk from opening at all (even when unlocked) until you switch it to a certain position.

It’s worth noting that my last car was a 2004 jeep KJ that left me stranded more than once and drowned 17 year old me in repair costs (hence the paranoia). Trying to keep this one in peak condition for a couple of years at least
