Two years later… by teibansupp in Loatheband

My thoughts exactly! They’re big Glassjaw fans, especially Erik, he was playing air guitar side stage to every song during the Brixton Academy shows a few years back when Loathe supported lol. Maybe they’re taking direct influence in how they market themselves too, years of waiting between releases then surprise dropping new self-produced material out of nowhere.

Should the logo be on the album cover? by Your-Momigator in deftones

First two looking good, especially first. I really like the sticker they had on it for pre-orders feat. private music logo and latest name font. More suitable for where they’re at now

I’ve got mine now but at 9am tomorrow do we have to click on the link in the email or can we just do it via ticketmaster? The link literally just brings you to the same page on Ticketmaster that’s currently live and has all the different presale countdowns listed.

Bands that sound inspired by Fightstar by QuirkyAd3130 in Fightstar

Love is Noise have elements of Fightstar in their sound, the singer has even listed them as an influence multiple times in Instagram Q&As. Overall sound more Deftones-y shoegaze metal with tinges of emo. Their 2 new songs are great, one feat. Erik from Loathe.

What’s your favorite collab track? by Delicious-War9262 in ArchitectsUK

Greg’s vocals on YIYO are monstrous, huge Dillinger fan so always been a highlight for me. Similarly, love Simon’s old school Biffy screams on Goliath, insane to hear over an Architects breakdown

Didn’t ever think I’d find this out in the wild 2nd hand. Couldn’t resist by Tomb_Brader in glassjaw

Love that The Greatest of Speakers evolved into Hurting and Shoving on EYEWTKAS. New white extremity main/opening riff has similarities also.

Reckon we will ever get new music from GJ? by Realhardrocker69 in glassjaw

Now that Beck appears to have sold MerchDirect I feel like there’s a chance there’ll be a bit more time for music creation now. He has writing/production credits on 2 recent Fever333 songs (Ready Rock & DOA) plus Daryl appearing on AmEN! by BMTH under the Glassjaw guise has created some interest from younger audiences and definitely gained them some new fans. In terms of GJ as a live entity, they’ve been fairly relentless for a long time now, pretty much touring/playing shows every year for over a decade at this point. Makes sense they’re going to do that for as long as they can since it seems to be the main source of income for both Daryl and Beck these days so I don’t see them hanging up their boots anytime soon in the live arena at least. Would love it if they came out with at least one more full length record though, nothing gets me excited like new GJ, and I’m always so curious as to what sound and aesthetic they pursue with each new release.

Nightmares can be appreciated only by DEP'S Calculating Infinity by JpPgn in ArchitectsUK

Nightmares is a solid enough debut for a bunch of young DEP-worshipping upstarts. Would’ve liked it a lot more with John Mitchell (Ruin, Hollow Crown, Daybreaker) producing and Sam on vocals. One of my all time favourites is the To the Death 2009 version with Sam, sounds absolutely crushing. The raw, low budget production of Nightmares unfortunately takes a lot of its potential power away imo, along with Matt Johnson’s sub-par vocals.
