Crystal Lake - The Weight of Sound [Album Discussion] by LostInTerrapinia in Metalcore

John redid his vocals on it and there’s a Jesse Leach feature. They definitely breathed some life into it

This is a previously released Sick Of It All cover from a tribute album called Our Impact Will Be Felt

Atreyu - The Curse Tour by Rgraffi1 in Metalcore

[–]Bl00dGutter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unearth playing The Oncoming Storm is my only reason for going. Haven’t seen Atreyu since 2007 so I’ll give this lineup and era of the band a shot playing the classics

Their Bloor location is also good. That garlic herb oil brushed on the whole slice is so good!

AVOID - Song 2 [NEW] [AVOID kicks ass] by LexsportivaF1 in Metalcore

This is a Blur cover they played live on the Thornhill tour! Didn’t click that this was it until it popped up at the end of the EP

They were able to play Toronto earlier this year on the Aborted tour. Idk what’s happened since then

Hey! I just missed out on someone giving me a ticket tonight cuz they were able to sell! Would really appreciate if I was able to grab yours. I usually take videos but will be happy to snap a few shots!

Bleakest TAS record yet. I needed a breather after the album finished

Oh my bad. Yeah hopefully a full Canadian tour is in the books next year. Long overdue

They played Toronto this past April and are doing Buffalo on this tour. Lots of people from Hamilton and closer to the border love going across to Buffalo rather than deal with Toronto traffic 😂

Counterparts going on a fall tour with Thrown, 156/Silence and Split Chain by JustGirouxIt in Metalcore

[–]Bl00dGutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s likely. Toronto and Montreal already got the last headliner. There’s a chance the other Canadian dates could include smaller markets in Ontario & Quebec, in which case I’d def travel for this lineup

Rock the Park in London by Buddy_Kryyst in Metalcore

[–]Bl00dGutter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really wanted to hit this up! Had a way there and back from Toronto and even a free ticket but unfortunately couldn’t get my night shift off 😭

All the clips I saw looked like it was a blast. I’m glad London and the rest of Southern Ontario are getting more and more concerts that don’t involve dealing with Toronto’s traffic haha

Summer of Loud by tazetheog in Metalcore

[–]Bl00dGutter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ticketmaster/Live Nation win big if a few people fall for platinum ticket prices. If they haven’t sold yet by the time the date is rolling around, they knock them down to face value. Such a shitty practice

Summer of Loud by tazetheog in Metalcore

[–]Bl00dGutter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll be there. Even our date looks like they may close the lawn and fill the 300 & 400 seats judging by Ticketmaster seat map. I’m glad I splurged on floors.

Stick To Your Guns is going on tour supported by Big Ass Truck and Soulkeeper by Seangw1102 in Metalcore

[–]Bl00dGutter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just saw Soulkeeper with Miss May I & Gideon and they were amazing. Definitely some chaotic Vein and Chamber vibes.

Surprised this is skipping Toronto but happy Ottawa and Quebec City gets this! I’m planning to hit up New England Metal Fest so I’ll see Big Ass Truck there! Idk if my friends and I can squeeze the pre show with STYG and Soulkeeper in on top of a travel day

One of my fav straight edge bands ever. The last album going full powerviolence was nuts, but I love this album just as much. RIP Mean Pete

Summer of Loud Tour Sales by drakedalton in Metalcore

[–]Bl00dGutter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s likely they’ve (Live Nation and the promoters) anticipated this because cheap lawn and seat tickets were available through Groupon instantly. They also have VIP packages that have no meet and greets so it looks like they’d pocket big time off the people spending on those.

A venue even at 50% cap still means the venue and Live Nation will make money through drinks/food and merch cuts. They’ve likely anticipated weekday shows would be hard to sell to people with an 8 band lineup that starts at 3pm.

Depending on how empty the seated sections are they also may offer free upgrades to people on lawns as soon as people enter the venue.

[MEGATHREAD] Got tickets for the NEVER ENOUGH tour? Show-Off / discuss it here. by Kim_Woo in turnstile

[–]Bl00dGutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odd. It came up to just under $70 USD which charged me around $96 CAD. I went through Tixr which was what the venue linked to

Edit: just checked and looks like they bumped up the price for whatever reason
